If You Are Betting On The Carolina Panthers Spread At +7.5
The Carolina Panthers are 4-0 straight and 3-1 against the spread so far this season. They average 27.0 points (6th), 189.8 passing yards (29th) and 132.2 rushing yards (4th) per game. Carolina is coming off its bye week following consecutive wins against divisional opponents in the Saints and Bucs.
QB Cam Newton has thrown for 809 yards, 7 TDs & 2 INTs this season, while completing 55.4% of his passes. Newton owns an 88.5 passer rating in 2015 and has added 195 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Those are solid, but not the usual MVP caliber stats. Then why is there so much MVP buzz surrounding Newton? His stats don’t account for the absence of stud WR Kelvin Benjamin, who caught 73 passes for 1,008 yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie in 2014. Throw in a porous offensive line (Newton has been pressured on 27.7 percent of dropbacks, 22nd overall) and its a surprise the Panthers haven’t gone through more starting QBs.
His top two targets are TE Greg Olsen (17 rec, 243 yards, 2 TDs) and WR Ted Ginn Jr. (12 rec, 206 yards, 3 TDs). While Olsen is is a top tier TE, Ginn Jr. is at best average.
RB Jonathan Stewart (59 att, 220 yards, 0 TD) was given the keys to the Panther’s backfield but has yet to lay claim to his territory. Stewart is at best a second rushing option for the Panthers’ offense behind Newton.
Carolina’s defense allows 17.8 points (4th), 247.0 passing yards (16th), and 92.0 rushing yards (6th) per game. Thomas Davis leads the Panthers with 36 tackles, Mario Addison has two sacks and Josh Norman has four interceptions. Barring any setbacks, star linebacker Luke Kuechly should be back after beening out since suffer a concussion in a Week 1 win over the Jaguars.

If You Are Betting On The Seattle Seahawks Spread At -7.5
The Seattle Seahawks are 2-3 straight up and 1-3-1 against the spread so far this season. They average 22.2 points (18th), 213.6 passing yards (26th) and 142.4 rushing yards (1st) per game. The Seahawks are coming off their second OT loss and their third loss in five games.
“We’re not anywhere like we’re dead and gone,” coach Pete Carroll told the team’s official website. “We don’t feel like that at all. We’ve just got to get some things fixed up, and I think we can.”
QB Russell Wilson has thrown 1192 yards, 6 TDs & 3 INTs this season, while completing 71.4% of his passes. Wilson has the 11th ranked passer rating at 99.1.
WR Jermaine Kearse (18 rec, 274 yards 1 TD) leads the team in receiving yards with WR Doug Baldwin (23 rec, 268 yards, 2 TDs) second. TE Jimmy Graham (21 rec, 204 yards, 2 TDs) can’t see to capture Wilson’s attention during games.
The Seahawks are hoping to have RB Marshawn Lynch (38 att, 128 yards, 0 TDs) back from a two week layoff due to a strained hammy, though he’s averaged 62.0 rushing yards in six games against Carolina and Seattle has hardly missed him. Undrafted rookie rusher Thomas Rawls (58 att, 326 yards, 1 TD) has filled in admirably, but there are few that can fill Beastmode’s cleats on game day. He does have two 100-yard games in the past three weeks and rushed for 169 with a touchdown last Sunday.
Seattle’s defense gives up 19.6 points (9th), 214.0 passing yards (7th), 92.0 rushing yards (7th) per game. Bobby Wagner leads the Seahawks with 41 tackles, Michael Bennett has three sacks and Earl Thomas has an interception.
