Why bet on the Chargers to beat the Browns

The Chargers won nine of their last 12 games last season, but their Super Bowl window is closing fast. This season, the Bolts were the early favorite to lead the AFC West. That is until a rampaging Chiefs team broke out to a 5-0 start and game-altering pass rusher Joey Bosa was lost to injury. Bosa hasn’t played since injuring his left foot in an Aug. 7 training camp practice. He is expected to join the team during their Week 8 bye.

So why should you bet on the Chargers to beat the Browns?

Phillip Rivers, Melvin Gordon, and Keenan Allen. When the Chargers offense is clicking it can keep pace with any other in the league. Plus L.A. ranks nine spots ahead of Cleveland in yards gained per game and a dozen better for yards allowed.

Rivers, at age 36 is having another Pro-Bowl season. He is completing 70.1% of his passes and is second behind Jared Goff with a passer rating of 116.4, thanks to his 13 touchdowns versus just two interceptions.

Why bet on the Browns to beat the Chargers

The Browns are making football fun again in Cleveland. With a victory, Cleveland will have a winning record for the first time since 2014. Over the last three seasons, the Browns were a combined 4-44. This season they have already won twice.

Baker Mayfield and OC Todd Haley are salivating at picking apart the Bolts defense. The Chargers haven’t stopped young QBs who have little tape to study. Patrick Mahomes threw for 257 yards and four touchdowns in his Week 1 dismantling of LA. In Week 3, Jared Goff threw for 354 and three touchdowns.

Chargers vs. Browns Pick & Betting Predictions

Cleveland hasn’t won consecutive games since November of the 2014 season. But the Browns hadn’t beaten a division rival in

The betting public is in love with the Browns after avoiding betting on Cleveland for decades. How else can you explain the slim 1-point spread? I predict this line will swing further in the Browns favor. When that happens, bet the Chargers.
