Why Bet The Los Angeles Chargers To Beat The NY Giants
The Chargers have been a pass-first offense since the LT’s retirement. With Melvin Gordon, the Bolts need run early and often and they can’t do that if they give up the early lead like last week. Gordon had 22 yards on ten carries after the Chargers went down 13-0.
Gordon admitted he has been frustrated with his workload. "I’m super frustrated at the moment, but I can’t let it break me," Gordon said. "It all falls under the same thing. But obviously not getting the touches and not getting the win — the win is the biggest thing. But then the fact that you feel like you can’t even help, you’re just kind of sitting back, it sucks because I just feel like I’m kind of helpless back there."
The Giants defense allows 142.8 rushing yards per game, 28th in the NFL. It might be time to feed Gordon.
Why Bet The NY Giants To Beat The Chargers
With two straight games decided by field goals on the final play, Ben McAdoo’s decisions on fourth down have left him open to second-guessing. The Giants are 1-of-6 on fourth-down conversions this season.
McAdoo has said he will attempt to simplify things for his struggling ballclub in the week of practice leading up to the game.
“Just with the calls and the communication,” he said when asked how he planned to simplify things. “It starts with the coaches — just going back and detailing the fundamentals.
“You don’t want to go back into a training camp mode, but you want to get pretty close. Just make it simple. Let players run, hit, tackle, block, catch, do what they do best.”
If You Still Can’t Decide Who To Bet On:
- Chargers are 41-20-5 ATS in their last 66 games as a road underdog.
- Giants are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite.
- Giants are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games in Week 5.
Chargers Vs. Week 5 Betting Analysis:
NY Giants is 6-1 SU in its last seven games at home. That is enough for me to bet against the Bolts in this tilt.
