Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions Line & Final Score Prediction
The Las Vegas oddsmakers have listed the NFL betting line at -6 in favor of the Detroit Lions over the Chicago Bears. The over/under is 44. NFL Network will broadcast and stream the game live.
Bet on Chicago +6 because…
The Chicago Bears finally broke through with an inspired performance in Week 14. The Bears offense had been dreadful in 5 straight games. It got so bad in Week 13, that Chicago dropped a game straight up versus the San Francisco 49’ers. In Week 14, the Bears dominated Cincinnati 33 to 7. That might be a sign that Chicago is ready to upset their favored rivals on Saturday.
Bet on Detroit -6 because…
The Detroit Lions are fighting for a playoff berth. Detroit is still in the hunt for a wildcard. If Detroit can manage to win their final 3 games, the Lions are likely to garner the final wildcard berth. The chance to play in the postseason is always a big motivator.
Chicago Vs Detroit Final Score Prediction
There’s also a big difference at the quarterback position where rookie Mitch Trubisky isn’t close to the QB that Detroit’s Matthew Stafford is.
Stafford is the single reason the Lions still have a shot at the postseason. When Stafford is on, Detroit is difficult to beat. It doesn’t matter what their defense does. Stafford should be on versus the Bears this Saturday.
In Detroit’s last couple of games, Matthew has completed over 80% of his pass attempts. That’s amazing because the Lions don’t have much of a rushing attack.
The trends favor the Bears who are 7-3-1 against the spread versus a team with a winning record. The road team is 3-1-1 against the spread in the last 5 meetings between these 2.
Still, I can’t look past how well Matthew Stafford has thrown the football in Detroit’s recent games. The Lions are going to come up with the perfect plan to exploit Chicago’s defense. I think Stafford gets it going for the 10-point win.
