A Closer Look At The Oakland Raiders Vs San Diego Chargers NFL Week 6 Line & My Betting Preview

Denver Vs San Diego NFL Week 15 Betting Prediction

This Sunday, Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas and the Denver Broncos go west to the Golden State to take on Phillip Rivers, Antonio Gates and the San Diego Super Chargers at the Qualcomm Stadium, in an AFC West divisional tilt that means more to the home-town Chargers than the Broncos. The Broncos are 4-point favorites over the Super Chargers, and the game total is currently at 50.5 points.

Denver leads San Diego in the AFC West by a clear but two games and have all but qualified for the post season. The Broncos are looking not only to kill the Chargers division title dreams but to crush their very playoff hopes. Losing this game will cost San Diego the divisional crown and put their playoffs hopes in the hands of lady luck.

Analyzing My Denver Vs San Diego NFL Week 15 Betting Prediction

San Diego is 2-2 in the AFC West, and even with a win on Sunday, they can mathematically leapfrog the Broncos for 1st in division, but they are more likely to make the postseason in the wild-card race. Sharing the same record with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, the tiebreaker has the Chargers as the No.6 seed in the conference. The team’s Week 13 victory in Baltimore looms large, as they fight to get into the playoffs.

The Chargers are coming off 23-14 home loss against the mighty New England Patriots that snapped a three game winning streak. Their offense was sluggish and only registered 216 total yards against the Pats on Sunday Night Football. QB Philip Rivers completed 20 of his 33 passes for 189 yards 1 TDs & 1 INT and his total reached 3407 yards in the season, with 26 TDs & 11 INTs with a 100.6 passer rating, leading the Chargers to be the 12th best passing unit in the NFL.

The Chargers offense is averaging 22.5 points and 336.2 yards per game. Rivers has completed 68.5 percent of his passes with 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Darren Sproles lite RB Branden Oliver has 432 rushing yards on the season but Ryan Mathews is back and healthy again and should see a bigger role. WR Keenan Allen has 74 catches and TE Antonio Gates has nine receiving touchdowns. The Chargers defense allows 20.9 points and 336.8 yards per game and they are net zero in turnover ratio.

This is San Diego’s last game at home as they will close the regular season in San Francisco and Kansas City.

A Broncos’ win in this matchup will secure a division title and all signs are pointing to that even they have struggled in the past few weeks.

In the past two games, Manning has failed to reach 200 yards passing, which is a first since weeks 16-17 in 2009 when his Colts had already clinched and he was rested after staring the game. His 56.9 passer rating this past Sunday was his lowest in any game since 2008. Some are questioning if age is finally catching up with him or if he is playing hurt, either way Manning is irreplaceable.

However, Manning’s poor play has been offset by un-drafted 2nd year RB CJ Anderson’s stellar play after the Broncos lost Monte Ball and Ronnie Hillman. Anderson is averaging 131 rushing yards over the last three weeks and has scored four TDs.

On the Season, the Broncos are averaging a 5th best in the NFL 29.6 points and a 4th best 4-5.6 yards per game. Manning has completed 66.9 percent of his passes with 36 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Anderson is the Broncos leading rusher with 594 yards and four touchdowns and Demaryius Thomas has 90 catches and 10 touchdowns and Emmanuel Sanders has 86 catches and seven touchdowns. The Broncos defense is allowing 22.5 points and 311 yards per game and they are plus four in turnover ratio.

The Chargers are 0-4 ATS in their last four home games, 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games overall, 1-6 ATS in their last 7 vs. AFC, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. AFC West.

The Broncos are 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a favorite, but 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS loss, 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 vs. AFC West.

I am smarter than to give anyone an NFL week 15 betting prediction that goes against Manning in a big game against a divisional rival. He will have his Broncos ready and don’t forget he will want to show up Tom Brady’s performance in San Diego last week.
