Can Brady and Red-Hot Patriots Cover Chalk Against Struggling Dolphins in Week 12 AFC East Matchup?
Tom Brady and the red-hot New England Patriots almost certainly won’t have any problems beating Jay Cutler and the struggling Miami Dolphins when they meet on Sunday at Gillette Stadium. That means the only ‘real’ question that NFL bettors need to answer is whether or not the Pats can cover the NFL Week 12 betting spread as two-touchdown plus home favorites against their longtime AFC East division rivals.

Are The Miami Dolphins A Smart ATS Bet?
The Dolphins have lost four straight and they looked mostly incompetent (again) in their 30-20 Week 11 home loss to Tampa Bay while never coming close to covering the spread as 1-point underdogs. Jay Cutler was absolutely pitiful in tossing three interceptions before being relieved by Matt Moore and the Dolphins lost two fumbles in addition to that. Miami also gave up two TD passes to veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and gave up three sacks in another listless performance that has kind of defined their 2017 season.
Are The New England Patriots A Smart ATS Bet?
The Patriots have won six straight and eight of their last nine games and completely overpowered the Oakland Raiders in their 33-8 Week 11 win in New Mexico as Brady passed for 339 yards with three TD passes and no interceptions. New England picked off Oakland quarterback Derek Carr once in the win and recovered one forced fumble while holding the Raiders to a modest 109 rushing yards in the win.
Dolphins Vs Pats ATS Betting Tips & Pick
The two-touchdown plus point spread looks a bit high, even for the perennially powerful Patriots, but I have no belief that Miami and their league-worst scoring offense (15.7 ppg) can cover the chalk in this one seeing as how they can barely pass the ball and can now barely run the ball as well after trading away Pro Bowl running back Jay Ajayi for virtually nothing a few weeks back. Miami’s season was ruined when they decided to sign cry-baby Jay Cutler out of retirement and now, the Fins are just playing out the string under a foolish-looking Adam Gase if you ask me.
The Dolphins are 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games against their AFC East counterparts, 1-4 ATS in their L/5 games vs. a team with a winning record and 0-3-2 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Patriots are 6-0 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, a blistering 13-4 ATS in their last 17 vs. AFC and bankroll-boosting 22-7 ATS in their last 29 games overall. New England wins and cashes in!
