Expert Picks NFL Week 13

NFL Week 13 is here and I have a trio of expert NFL betting picks to get your holiday season started with a bang.

Can the now, reeling Kansas Chiefs get their act together to give their playoff hopes a boost against a New York jets team that is equally desperate at this point of the season?

Can the Green Bay Packers beat anyone without Aaron Rodgers under center?

Will the Buffalo Bills give Tom Brady and the incendiary New England Patriots a hard way to go in their Week 13 AFC East divisional battle?

Expert Picks NFL Week 13

Kansas City Chiefs at NY Jets
When: Sunday, Dec. 3 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
NFL Odds: Kansas City -3.5

The Chiefs have lost three straight and five of six and look nothing like the team that won five straight to start the season. The Chiefs will be taking on a New York Jets team that has lost two straight and five of their last six games, but one that has been competitive all season and gave Carolina a tough way to go in their 35-27 home loss on Sunday. I’d like to back the Chiefs in this one, but I just can’t bring myself to do it.

52 percent of the betting public likes New York to cover the chalk and so do I, seeing as how Kansas City suddenly can’t score the ball and the Jets have scored 27 or more, even in dropping three of their last five. I almost can’t believe I saying it, but the Jets are the pick in this one people!

Week 13 Expert Pick: NY Jets +3.5

Tampa Bay at Green Bay
When: Sunday, Dec. 3 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
NFL Odds: Pick ‘Em

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers don’t have much left to play for in what was supposed to be a playoff-challenging campaign, but the Green Bay Packers have been a complete mess without star quarterback Aaron Rodgers under center, going 1-5 in the five-plus games since losing Rodgers against Minnesota six weeks ago.

The Packers are hoping to keep their faint playoff hopes alive if and when Rodgers is ready to return and backup Brett Hundley actually looked pretty competent against Pittsburgh on Sunday night. Tampa Bay’s Ryan Fitzpatrick is completely and utterly mediocre, plus Green Bay is at home in this one. The Pack looks like a great pick as a pick ‘em in this one!

Week 13 Expert Pick: Green Bay for the win.

New England at Buffalo
When: Sunday, Dec. 3 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: New Era Field, Buffalo, NY
NFL Odds: New England -9

The Buffalo Bills beat the reeling Chiefs on Sunday to move to 6-5 on the season and keep their wildcard hopes alive in the mediocre AFC, but I still think head coach Sean McDermott has lost his marbles by insisting that his move to bench Tyrod Taylor was a smart thing to do even after rookie Nathan Peterman tossed a mind-boggling five interceptions in one half.

No matter what kind of coach I think McDermott is though, the fact of the matter is that Buffalo just doesn’t have enough offense to keep up with Tom Brady and a Patriots team is on fire right now. New England has won seven straight games while scoring 33 or more in each of their last three games and that kind of offensive production tells me the Pats are the pick to win and cover the spread as nearly double-digit road favorites against a Buffalo team that has not scored more than 24-point in each of their last four games.

Week 13 Expert Pick: Patriots -9
