Expert Picks NFL Week 16Josh Bailey
With just two weeks remaining in the 2017 NFL regular season and several teams either looking to lock down playoff berths or punch their ticket to the postseason, now is a perfect tome for some expert Week 16 NFL picks that could help you cash in big this coming weekend.
Expert Picks NFL Week 16
Tampa Bay (4-9) at Carolina (10-4)
When: Sunday, Dec. 24 2017, at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC
NFL Odds: Carolina -9.5
Analysis: Tampa Bay has nothing left to play for and they’ve rolled over like dogs in dropping three straight coming into this contest. Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers have recorded a pair of fantastic wins by beating Minnesota and Green Bay the last two weeks, not to mention they’ve won six of their last seven games overall. The Bucs are 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 games while Carolina has gone 6-1 ATS in their last seven. If this game isn’t over by halftime, I’ll be completely shocked.
Expert Pick: Carolina -9.5
Jacksonville (10-4) at San Francisco (4-10)
When: Sunday, Dec. 24 2017, at 4:05 PM ET
Where: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA
NFL Odds: Jacksonville -5.5
Analysis: The San Francisco 49ers have won three straight games and have clearly gotten a big boost from the emergence of new starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Still, you should keep in mind that the Niners have beaten the likes of the lowly Bears, Texans and suddenly struggling Titans in their last three games. Jacksonville has won three straight and seven of eight overall and ‘opened up a can of whup-ass’ on Houston to win 45-7 this past Sunday. San Francisco is 1-4 ATS in their last five home games while Jacksonville has gone 7-2 ATS in their last nine road dates. The incendiary Jags and their league-leading defense get the easy win and ATS cover in this one.
Expert Pick: Jacksonville -5.5
Pittsburgh (11-3) at Houston (4-10)
When: Sunday, Dec. 24 2017, at 4:30 PM ET
Where: NRG Stadium, Houston, TX
NFL Odds: Pittsburgh -10
Analysis: After ending up on the wrong end of a heartbreaking 27-24 home loss to New England, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be going all-out to stomp the life out of the injury-ravaged Texans while keeping their hopes of nailing down home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs alive. The Steelers have failed to cover the chalk in four straight, but they snap that skid by getting the big double-digit win in this one!
