That’s it, they did it, Jacksonville came out strong and got their first and from what I can tell their only win of the season as they do not have the easiest of schedules left. I expect the Cardinals to really expose the Jaguars secondary; they have a great passing game as well as counting on one of the best receivers in the League in Larry Fitzgerald. Jacksonville will make their game plan to run through this Cardinals team who has shown issues controlling the run.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
1:00 PM ET, November 17, 2013
Ever Bank Field, Jacksonville, FL
The Cardinals are a notoriously bad road team; they have shown problems all year going 1-3 in their away games. With back to back wins though I expect them to bring the momentum into this game as they fight for a possible playoff spot. The Jaguars secondary will be in for a long night as they try to guess the pass, QB Carson Palmer has a great ability to place the ball just out of reach of the defender and so if they decide to double team, they will get burned.
Jacksonville capitalized on a few big mistakes from the Titans last week that helped seal the deal but I don’t expect the Cardinals to make those same mistakes, if the Jaguars want to win this game they will have to do it the old fashion way, running the football. With corners and safeties like the Cardinals have it would not be a good idea for them to test them.
What to Expect:
The Cardinals are -7.5 in this game and even though they are on the road, I am siding with them in this one; they have too much offense for the Jaguars to stop all at once. Arizona will control the ball possession and keep the chains moving. The total is set at 41 and I think that even though Jacksonville will get the scores, the Cardinals will always be two up on them, so look for the game to go over as Jacksonville will have no choice once the score starts getting up.
