Chicago is coming off a hard loss to swallow against the Detroit Lions, making that their second loss to this team this season, now only one game above .500 the Bears know that there is no room for error; they need to come out strong and control this game for start to finish. The Ravens know that their time for this season has come and gone more than likely but full of pride, I don’t see this team giving up any game. The Bears defense will get tested in this game as the Ravens have a few key receivers that can make huge plays in the open field.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Chicago Bears
1:00 PM ET, November 17, 2013
Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
That has been their flaw all season long, defending against both the pass and run; this Bears defense is not that menacing group of guys that could take over a game completely. Now, they are vulnerable to the pass and open to the running game. Chicago can score but without the important stops down the stretch, winning is almost impossible. I see this team really putting up some numbers but falling short as the Ravens make the right defensive plays late in the game.
Baltimore opened this season with one of the worst ranked defenses in the League, granted they lost 50% of their super Bowl winners from that side of the ball but after a few games of getting used to it they have shown they can be pretty good, especially late in games. I think they get to the Bears QB and make the difference with their front line.
What to expect:
Look for a high scoring game here, even if both defenses are on, the offense will find a way to score; I see this almost being like an exchange for most of the first three quarters. In the end I see the Ravens taking this game by simply playing man coverage over the middle and pass rushing the QB. The Bears are -3 at home with the total set at 45.5; I like the dog and the over in this battle.
