The Packers got by struggling Tampa Bay 26-20 in overtime last weekend to snap a two-game skid and keep their playoff hopes alive with the return of Rodgers imminent and reportedly set for Week 15 – if they still have a shot at the playoffs. That’s the good news. The bad news is that quarterback Brett Hundley looked mostly awful again by throwing for just 84 yards with no touchdowns and one interception last weekend. For the season, Hundley has thrown eight picks and just five TD passes in seven starts, plus the half-game he played when taking over for an injured Rodgers against Minnesota in Week 6.
Cleveland put up a pretty good effort against the Chargers last weekend, but could only manage three points in the second half as rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer passed for 215 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Kizer was stripped sacked by L.A. defensive end Joey Bosa with just over four minutes remaining in regulation to kill Cleveland’s comeback hopes. Now, the Browns are desperately looking for their first win of the season, even though they got a positive performance from wide receiver Josh Gordon who caught four passes for 85 yards after being banned from the NFL for nearly three years.
The Packers are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games against a team with a losing home record while the Browns are 1-7-1 ATS in their last 9 games following an ATS win. Simply put, go with the whopping 79 percent of public bettors that like the Packers to win and cover the spread!
