If You Are Betting On The Tennessee Titans Odds At +3

The Tennessee Titans are 2-7 straight up 4-5 against the spread so far this season. They average 18.8 points (27th), 224.1 passing yards (24th), and 97.4 rushing yards (24th) per game. Last week, the Titans lost to the Carolina Panthers, 27-10. It was their 10th straight home loss and first home game under interim coach Mike Mularkey.

Mularkey faces the Jags as a head coach for the first time since they fired him following the 2012 season. After going 2-14 with Jacksonville three years ago, Mularkey was a part of a house clearing by ownership.

“I wasn’t sure I’d ever get another one after what happened in Jacksonville,” he said.

Rookie QB Marcus Mariota (1795 yards, 13 TDs & 6 INTs) completed 16 of his 24 passes against the Panthers, throwing for a season-low 185 yards, along one interception and zero touchdowns.

"We knew coming in it was going to be a tough battle, but we left a lot of points out there," Mariota told in the press conference after the loss.

Tennessee managed 242 yards and a season-low 11 first downs against the Panthers’ top-10 defense.

TE Delaine Walker (45 rec, 508 yards, 3 TDs) had three catches for 52 yards against Carolina. WR Kendall Wright (28 rec, 343 yards, 3 TDs) didn’t play against the Panthers because of an (MCL); he was listed as a limited participant in Monday’s practice. Going from bad to worse, WR Justin Hunter (22 rec, 264 yards, 1 TD) was placed on injured reserve after fracturing his ankle last Sunday.

RB Antonio Andrews (84 att, 298 yards, 2 TDs) has taken over as lead back for the Titans but only averages 3.5 yards per game. His primary back is Dexter McCluster (49 att, 235 yards, 1 TD) who averages 4.8 yards per carry.

Tennessee’s defense allows 23.8 points (17th) 214.0 passing yards (3rd), 112.3 rushing yards (21st) per game. Wesley Woodyard leads the team with 56 tackles, Brian Orakpo has six sacks, and Coty Sensabaugh has five passes deflected.

If You Are Betting On The Jacksonville Jaguars Odds At -3

The Jacksonville Jaguars are 3-6 straight up and 5-4 against the spread so far this season. They average 21.3 points (24th), 247.7 passing yards (16th), and 96.0 rushing yards (25th) per game. Last week, the Jags beat the Baltimore Ravens with a late field goal with no time on the clock. A missed false-start call by the refs has led to the NFL’s statement that the Jags should NOT have won due to the missed-call.

"I’ve never seen anything like that before," Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny said after the game. "That was wild, but I’m glad it ended the way it did."

QB Blake Bortles (2381 yards, 19 TDs & 11 INTs) completed only 22 of his 45 passes for 188 yards, 2 TDs & 1 INT against the Ravens last week. He has thrown at least two TDs in five consecutive games but at least one INTs in each of those. He passed for a touchdown, wasn’t intercepted and gained 50 yards rushing to help Jacksonville to a 21-13 Thursday night home win over Tennessee on Dec. 18.

WR Allen Robinson (45 rec, 758 yards, 7 TDs) and Allen Hurns (41 rec, 697 yards 7 TDs) have continued to excel in the passing game and are the envy of every GM in the league. Bryan Walters (27 rec, 311 yards, 1 TD) has helped the offense as well.

Rookie T.J. Yeldon (133 att, 531 yards, 1 TD) is the team’s leading rusher and is averaging 4.0 yards per carry. He missed Monday’s practice and didn’t participate in Tuesday’s walkthrough with an injured right foot. Good news for Jags fans is that Yeldon is no longer wearing a walking boot, and he said he will be fine for Thursday’s game. If Yeldon can’t suit up, the Jacksonville backfield would likely be led by Denard Robinson, with Toby Gerhart also involved.

Jacksonville’s defense allows 28.3 points (31st), 268.0 passing yards (24th), 93.7 rushing yards (6th) per game. Telvin Smith leads the team with 88 tackles, Aaron Colvin has 3.0 sacks, and Davon House has 16 passes deflected.
