Buffalo Bills like the New England Patriots about as much as I like haggis. They have good reason. The Bills have been the Patriots personal practice dummies over the past 15 agonizing season. During that span Buffalo is a crumby 3-26.
In their last meeting, week 17 of last year, the Bills did squeak out a win against the Patriots whose starters didn’t even finish the first half.
Now they have Rex Ryan. The only coach who has the cajones to openly wave the flag of his disdain for Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and the Patriots. This is going to be some good ol’ fashioned smash mouth football.

Why Bet On New England to Beat Buffalo
The Pats always best the Bills, can Rex change that?
The reason to back New England over Buffalo is because no matter what Bills team shows up, they always lose to the Patriots. New England over Buffalo is one of the most consistent trends in the NFL today.
Since the 2010-2011 NFL Season, New England is 8 and 2 straight up versus the Buffalo Bills. One of the losses occurred last season when quarterback Tom Brady didn’t play that much because New England had home field advantage throughout the playoffs. No matter what Buffalo has tried to do in the past, New England always seems to win the game.
In the 2011-2012 NFL Season, Buffalo beat New England 34 to 31. That was before New England’s defense gelled. Later that season, the Patriots thumped Buffalo 38 to 3. Buffalo has tried to score with New England. That hasn’t worked consistently. Buffalo has tried to play defense and that hasn’t worked consistently.
The bottom line is that QB Tom Brady has Buffalo’s number. If the trend holds, no matter what Buffalo tries to do on Sunday, New England will win the game.

Why Bet On Buffalo to Beat New England
Rex Ryan makes ? a ?
Although New England has a great history against Buffalo, the Patriots don’t have a very good history when facing Rex Ryan coached teams. Ryan’s teams play very tough against the Patriots even though on paper they appear to be outmatched.
One of the reasons for this is because Ryan’s teams always rush the ball well. Even though the Jets were horrible last season, they were ranked second in rushing yards per game. In addition to a good rushing attack, Ryan’s teams also have great defenses. New England barely beat Ryan’s Jets coached team 27 to 25 as a -9.5 home favorite in the first battle. In the second battle, Ryan’s Jets lost 16 to 17.
Ryan actually has a better defense in Buffalo than he did in New York. The Bills shut down Andrew Luck and one of the top offenses in the league in Week 1. They dominated Luck by forcing the star quarterback into 2 interceptions and a 26 out of 49 day. Luck completed only 53% of his passes.
Ryan is going to have something special for the Patriots this Sunday. The Bills are a legitimate contender to win the NFC East. The defense is terrific. The offense, as to be expected, can rush the football. Buffalo should win this matchup. Yes, I am picking the Bills to finally get the Patriot sized monkey off of their backs. My final score prediction is Buffalo 27, New England 23 .
