Since losing their starting quarterback, Dallas hasn’t been the same team. A favorite to win the Super Bowl this season, Dallas has lost 5 games in a row. The Cowboys are bleeding. They’ll try to stop the bleeding by beating rival Philadelphia on Sunday night. Can Dallas do it? Or, will Philly add yet another loss to Dallas’ record? The NFL week 9 betting odds favor the visting Eagles by 3-points to beat the limping Cowboys.

Why Bet On Philadelphia (-2.5) to Beat Dallas
DeMarco Murray returns to Dallas after being snubbed by Jerry Jones in the off-season.
Philadelphia’s offense has started to come to life. But quarterback Sam Bradford is still throwing interceptions. Bradford threw 2 interceptions against New Orleans. He threw 3 interceptions against the Giants. Philly won both games.
How did the Eagles do it? Philadelphia has started to rely on its defense. The Eagles have forced a ton of interceptions and fumbles in recent games. New Orleans turned the ball over a total of 4 times in their loss to the Eagles. The Giants turned the ball over a total of 3 times, a fumble and 2 Eli Manning interceptions. Even in the Eagles 16 to 27 loss to Carolina in their game before the bye, Philadelphia forced 3 Cam Newton interceptions. If Philadelphia can force Dallas to turn the ball over, they should win this game.
Why Bet On Dallas to Beat Philadelphia (-2.5)
The Cowboys’ O-Line will control the game.
Sam Bradford throws a lot of interceptions. But, Dallas has to figure that Bradford corrected some things during the Eagles’ bye week. The Cowboys can’t count on Bradford making mistakes in order for them to win this game.
Dallas needs to control the clock by running the football with RBs Darren McFadden and Christine Michael behind the league’s top offensive line. McFadden hasn’t been as effective as some might think. He could only garner 3.2 yards a carry versus Seattle. He only produced 3.1 yards per carry against New Orleans.
It might be time for the Boys to give Michael a shot. Michael has a ton of ability. He’s a freak athlete, but he still hasn’t been given a shot by any team that he’s played for in the NFL. McFadden isn’t likely to get past a likely stingy Philadelphia defense.
If the Cowboys run the football with Michael, they could win this matchup. My final score prediction is Philadelphia 35, Dallas 24.
