How To Bet The Seattle Seahawks Vs Carolina Panthers NFC Divisional Playoff LineJosh Bailey
The Seattle Seahawks are barely still alive to win a third consecutive NFC crown after another wild playoff finish during Sunday’s 10-9 win in frigid Minnesota thanks to a laces in 27-yard missed field goal by the Vikings’ usually accurate K Blair Walsh.
Seattle moves on to the NFL Divisional Playoff Round by taking on NFC top seed Carolina this weekend. The game kicks-off on FOX this Sunday, January 17 at 1:05 pm ET from the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Bet The Seattle Seahawks +3 Because…
Seattle escaped against Minnesota. From here on out, they could easily run the board. The Seahawks already had their blunder game. Minnesota could have beaten the Seahawks as a +5 point home dog in the Wild Card Round. Instead, Adrian Peterson fumbled the football, Seattle took the lead with a field goal, and Minnesota kicker Blair Walsh botched the game winning field goal for the Vikings. Seattle blew it against Carolina earlier in the season in a 23 to 27 loss at home. They don’t figure to blow it again.
Bet The Carolina Panthers -3 Because…
Carolina showed toughness after their only loss of the season in Week 16. The Panthers were flat in a 13 to 20 loss to Atlanta in Week 16. Needing a victory in Week 17 to secure home field advantage throughout the playoffs, the Panthers stepped it up big time in a 38 to 10 win over Tampa Bay on Jan. 3. Carolina has the mental edge in this battle since they came back against Seattle in their 27 to 23 win over the Seahawks on Oct. 18.
Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction
Some football analysts really feel that the Seahawks escaped and will now dominate the NFC. There is some validity to those feelings. Seattle has the experience edge over the Panthers in this game. But, Seattle doesn’t really match up all that well with Carolina. The Seahawks’ defense is designed around getting pressure on the QB and stopping their opponent’s rushing game with their front 4. When Seattle can do that, safeties Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas and Seattle’s linebackers can play zone in passing situations. That’s why one of those guys always seems to be around the wide receiver that opposing quarterbacks throw the ball too.

What Cam Newtown found out against Seattle in the first game is that he’s too fast and too strong for Seattle’s front 4 and for Seattle’s linebackers to contain. The Seahawks have to think about bringing up a safety to mark Cam. That gives this season’s probable NFL MVP the edge in this matchup. I’m going with Cam and the Panthers.
My final score prediction is Carolina 31, Seattle 24.
