Indianapolis at Houston Thursday Night Football Betting Pick
After dropping their opening two games, Indianapolis has now won three straight including their hard-fought 20-13 Week 5 win over Baltimore as a 2.5-point home favorite.
Indy didn’t allow Baltimore into the end zone until halfway through the fourth quarter.
Veteran cornerback Vontae Davis said he can see his coach Chuck Pagano and former Baltimore coach, trying to turn the Colts’ defense into something like Baltimore’s perennial stout unit.
“I’m pretty sure he (Chuck Pagano) is trying to instill the same traits in us with being a physical team,” Davis told reporters following Sunday’s game.” It was a physical game."

Gifted quarterback Andrew Luck completed 32 of 49 passes for 312 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions while adding another score on a nifty 13-yard touchdown jaunt.
"(Against Baltimore) you expect things not to go as expected. What you do expect is a tough, gritty, down-to-the-wire (game)," Luck said. "We survived our mistakes, in a sense. We made our plays enough to get a win."
The Houston Texans have played commendable football all season under first-year head coach Bill O’Brien, but came up just short in their painful 20-13 overtime loss to Dallas in Week 5, though they covered the spread as a 5-point road dog to improve to 4-1 ATS on the season.
The Texans scored twice in the last 2:27 of regulation to make it a contest and got a stellar 157 rushing yards from veteran running back Arian Foster in the narrow loss.
"Football is a brutal game," Pro Bowl defensive end .J.J. Watt said. "It’s brutal on your body. It’s brutal on your emotions. To fight back the way we did, to show that resilience, it was good to see. But at the end of the day, we lost the game."
Why Should You Bet MyThursday Night Football Betting Pick
I’m going to get right to the point with this Week 6 Thursday night pick by saying that I really like how he Indianapolis Colts are playing right now and fully believe the difference in this game will be at quarterback where Indy can turn to their potential future Hall of Famer, and Houston is forced to turn to mediocre veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Indianapolis is averaging 31.2 points per game compared to Houston’s 20.8 per contest and allowing just 3.8 more points per game defensively that the Texans give up (17.4).
Sure, the Colts are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games against the Texans, but the spread for this Week 6 matchup is more than manageable if you ask me!
The Colts have won eight of their last 12 road games against Houston and I expect them to improve on that mark while covering the spread with plenty of room to spare!
