Can shorthanded Bucs Pull Off Upset Against Competitive Jets in Week 10 Inter-Conference Clash?
When the 2017 regular season began, New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles was the prohibitive favorite to be the first head coach fired while Tampa bay was being looked at as a possible division winner and playoff participant in the NFC South. The Las Vegas NFL oddsmakers have listed the betting line at -2.5 in favor of the Jets over the Bucs.
Now, heading into their Week 10 matchup, the Jets have been super competitive all season and the Bucs have fallen off the map faster than a flat-earther!

The Jets got a huge win last weekend by smacking the division rivals Bills around in their surprising 34-21 win, but really, they’ve played competitive football all season long for Todd Bowles, even in their five losses. Veteran quarterback Josh McCown continued his surprisingly solid season by throwing for one touchdown and rushing for another while veteran running back Matt Forte added two rushing scores as well. New York’s defense recorded a whopping six sacks and recovered three fumbles in the win.
Tampa Bay has lost five straight and never showed up in their humbling 30-10 loss against New Orleans unless you’re counting the foolish brawl that quarterback James Winston started before exiting with an injured shoulder. The Bucs were held to 87 rushing yards in the loss and still haven’t found out how to connect with one of the league’s best deep threats in veteran wideout DeSean Jackson who had all of 25 receiving yards in the loss.
There’s a reason why the Jets are favored to beat the Bucs in this contest despite being on the road and it’s because they’re the better team in all three phases of the game, not to mention the effort department. New York is 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 games while Tampa Bay has gone 0-6-1 ATS in their last 7 games. I know it’s been a shocking turn of events to see the way both of these teams have played all season, but right now, the Jets are, hands down, the better team! Josh McCown, Matt Forte, and New York’s defense lead them to the big win as to help them even their record at 5-5!
Pick: Jets -2.5
