Do Colts Stand Real Chance of Covering Chalk Against Superior Steelers in Week 10 Mismatch?
The Indianapolis Colts may have snapped their three-game losing streak last weekend, but they don’t look like they have any chance of beating the clearly superior Pittsburgh Steelers outright when they host their AFC counterparts. Week 10’s NFL betting line favors the Steelers by 10-points over the Colts.
The real question that NFL bettors need answering is whether or not the Colts have a real chance of covering the chalk as double-digit home dogs in their Week 10 matchup on Sunday. Let’s find out right now. This game will go down live from Lucas Oil Stadium at 1:00 PM ET while airing on CBS.

Why Bet The Pittsburgh Steelers Over The Colts
The Steelers have won three straight and are well-rested after getting a bye last weekend following their 20-15 Week 8 road win in Detroit. Pittsburgh has held each of their last three opponents and four of their last five overall, to 15 points or less and have gotten some increasingly good contributions out of rookie wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who hauled in seven passes against the Lions for a stunning 193 yards and one touchdown. Of course, his success this season has alienated veteran wideout while Martavis Bryant who has openly gone on record to say he wants out of Pittsburgh after not getting enough passes thrown his way following his one-year suspension for drug use.
Why Bet The Indianapolis Colts Over The Steelers
For the Colts, the 2017 season has been completely strange with quarterback Andrew Luck missing the entire campaign with a mysterious shoulder injury that he reportedly suffered last season, yet never got fixed in the offseason. After an embarrassing performance by veteran backup Scott Tolzien in their regular season opener, Indianapolis quickly acquired Patriots third-string backup Jacoby Brissett. The second-year signal-caller has done well for Indy by completing 61.1 percent of his passes for 1,950 yards with seven touchdowns and four interceptions, but the Colts just don’t have a whole bunch of talent on their roster outside of speedy veteran wide receiver T.Y. Hilton.
Expert Pick Steelers Vs Colts
While Indianapolis ‘upset’ a Houston Texans team that was without star quarterback Deshaun Watson last weekend, I just don’t see any way they get back-to-back upsets against the Steelers in this one, nor do I see them covering the chalk against a Steelers defense that has gotten quite stingy since their stunning 30-9 embarrassment against Jacksonville at home a month ago.
Pittsburgh has gone 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games and a near-perfect 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Indianapolis has done well in going 2-0 ATS over their last two games and 5-3 ATS over their last eight games this season.
However, the Colts also lost at Tennessee by two touchdowns in Week 6 and were shutout out by Jacksonville 27-0 the following week. It simply doesn’t bode well that the Colts are facing a Steelers team that is better than they are in all three phases and one that is well-rested. Pittsburgh wins by two touchdowns to cover the chalk as a double-digit road favorite.
