The Lions Look To Power Run Through the Cowboys DefenseTheDuck
This will be one of the most important regular season games for these two teams as both have found themselves with a 4-3 record battling for the top spot in their division. Dallas seems to have found their rhythm in the last few weeks as Romo´s passing percentage has gone up along with his accuracy. For Detroit they have been hanging around but the main issue is their defense that seems to get really tiered late in games, they have an offense that would scare any team but they also give up a lot of big plays that come back to hurt them.
The Dallas Cowboys have gotten the good news that DeMarcus Ware will be returning soon, a key piece to their defense which has performed well in recent games. Tony Romo still loves him some Jason Whitten when they are close to the goal line but has been known to really push the ball and get Dez Bryant involved early. I expect the Cowboys to test the Lions defense out early by running the ball and playing a little more screen options to the sides while they wait for a one on one match up down field.
The Lions have everything a team could ask for, one of the top receivers in the League, a running back that has really matured and shining as well as a strong defense that just needs to come up with the big plays in the right moment to keep their momentum going. I think that in this game they will try more one on one zone coverage that will allow their linebackers to cover more of the middle and stop the big plays. I think that Detroit knows they need to win this game at home to get back on track after that loss to Cincinnati last week.
What to Expect:
I expect more of a passing game from the Cowboys in this one while the contraire for the Lions as they set Reggie Bush free and get him back like the start of the season. This game will depend highly on the Lions defensive control of the clock as well as their secondary while the Cowboys will really have to make better decisions on their down options. The books have the Lions -3 -120, a spread that I agree with fully, I see the Lions getting the best of the Cowboys at home because of their running ability, take Detroit at -3, avoid hooks at all costs, always…
