With everything that is going on down in Miami, it´s hard to see them really being 100% concentrated on playing this weekend, they are without two starters on the offensive line to protect an already weak and un mobile QB. San Diego knows that it has to make a big effort from here on out to have a chance of sneaking into the post season, they have the offensive style that will have the ability of taking over Miami´s defense because of their passing ability.
San Diego Chargers vs. Miami Dolphins
4:05 PM ET, November 17, 2013
Sun Life Stadium, Miami, FL
San Diego started the season very well and then forgot about their running game, throwing there ball 65% of the time and forcing it into double coverage. This caused them to turn the ball over and have to play from behind most of their games. Last week they seemed to even it out a little more and I expect the same in this game, Miami has problems with the running game and QB Philip Rivers could use the escape route every once and a while.
The Dolphins are struggling with all their off field issues, they have no running game a frustrated top 5 receiver that cannot seem to get into their games. QB Ryan Tannehill needs to become more productive late in games and stop turning the ball over. With little protection though I see this being a difficult game for Miami to stay in, their defense will really have to come through in this one.
What to Expect:
The Chargers are -1.5 in this one and my play of the week is San Diego, the Fins will not last in this one, the Chargers have too many offensive weapons to go to that it will really drain Miami´s defense. The Chargers will control the clock and get the necessary first downs to keep the chains moving. The total is set at 45.5 and I’m not really sure yet on that, I’m leaning toward the over but that will all depend on how well Miami´s QB plays the pocket.
