The 1-point favorite Chicago Bears host the Miami Dolphins in their NFL preseason week 1 tilt this Thursday night. The established starters will play a series or two max before giving way to the reserves and newcomers.

Analyzing The Miami Dolphins Vs Chicago Bears Preseason Week 1 Spread, Against The Spread Pick & TV Info
Its time to take the training wheels off of Ryan Tannehill (4045 yards, 27 TDs & 12 INTS). The Dolphins brain-trust gave him $96 million elite QB level contract during the offseason. Tannehill is expected to play a series or two before handing the reigns over to backups QB Matt Moore and Josh Freeman.

RB Lamar Miller (216 att, 1099 yards, 8 TDs) will start the season as the top tailback for the Dolphins and is playing for a new contract. Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post writes that rookie running back Jay Ajayi missed practice time with a hamstring injury. Ajayi was expected to compete for the starting RB job. His slow start leaves the door open for LaMichael James and Damien Williams.
Miami has bolstered their receiving corps by dumping temperamental WR Mike Wallace and adding veteran WRs Greg Jennings (59 rec, 742 yards, 6 TDs), Kenny Stills (63 rec, 931 yards, 3 TDs) and TE Jordan Cameron (24 rec, 424 yards, 2 TDs), along the first round draft pick DeVante Parker. All of them will join WR Jarvis Landry (84 rec, 758 yards, 5 TDs) to form one of the best receiving corps in the entire NFL.
The Dolphins’ defense is going to wreak havoc on opposing offenses. Their front seven is led by stud defensive ends Dion Jordan and Cameron Wake. Joining them is former Lion beast defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Throw in shutdown corner Brent Grimes and this is a championship caliber D.
"The thing about Suh that people don’t realize is he’s an elite player, but he’s got elite intelligence and his work ethic is elite, off the charts," new defensive line coach Terrell Williams said to the Miami Herald . "That’s what makes the guy great. That’s what makes the guy special. Not just great player, but elite intelligence, elite work ethic. I love the guy."
The Bears offense is a mess after finishing 21 st total last season. For better or worse, Jay Cutler (3812 yards, 28 TDS & 18 INTS) is still the starting QB. Returning offensive weapons WR Alshon Jeffery, RB Matt Forte, and TE Martellus Bennett will be joined by highly touted rookie Kevin White.

Stud starting RB Matt Forte (266 att, 1038 yards, 6 TDs) won’t see the field on Thursday. I expect former Falcons rusher Jacquizz Rodgers and former Dolphins RB Daniel Thomas (44 att, 168 yards, 2 TDs) to battle for the backup stop.
Rookie WR White’s shin injury may cost the first-round draft choice precious preseason playing time.
“He’s mad at me right now because I won’t let him practice,”coach John Fox said Wednesday according to the Chicago Tribune . “But we’re going to be smart. He is going to be a viable part of our football team.”
