The Packers are looking for a little payback from the Seahawks after their NFC championship meltdown last season.

Top 6 Must Watch 2015 NFL Revenge Games

Revenge is excellent. Especially when it comes to sports. Just ask Patriots head-coach Belichick. The Patriots have dominated teams for just looking at them the wrong way. He’ll tell you that revenge is underrated. Those who say that revenge is a dish best served cold just haven’t gotten a chance to even the score. Revenge is the unofficial score. Revenge allows you to right a wrong, to prove your worth, to overcome. And maybe, just maybe to re-write history. And when revenge is on a national stage it makes for must see TV.

Without further ado, here are my picks for the best NFL revenge matchups of 2015:

Top 6 Revenge NFL Games Of 2015

  1. Seattle at Green Bay, Week 2 – Green Bay appeared to be on its way to a win versus Seattle in the NFC Championship Game last season. The Seahawks found a way for the miracle tie and 28 to 22 comeback victory in overtime. Green Bay and Seattle are co-favorites to make it to the Super Bowl from the NFC this year. The Packers have to start the season strong or they might have to make a trip up to the Great Northwest again during the playoffs this season. That wouldn’t be good for them.
  2. New England at Indianapolis, Week 6 – If QB Andrew Luck and the Colts are truly going to take the next step forward, they’ll have to beat the New England Patriots in Week 6. The Patriots squashed the Colts in the AFC Championship, otherwise known as the Deflategate Game, 45 to 7 last season. Indy has to find a way to turn the tables on the Patriots. The Colts will have to face Tom Brady since this contest occurs after the 4-game suspension. Expect the referees to pay close attention to the footballs used in this matchup. Belichick has already started with the head games by signing longtime Colts WR Reggie Wayne.

  3. Denver Broncos at Indianapolis Colts, Week 9 – Indianapolis’ 24 to 13 win over the Peyton Manning led Denver Broncos in the playoffs last season had to sting. Manning was hurt during that game, but it didn’t stop John Elway from firing John Fox and hiring Gary Kubiak. Manning, Elway and Kubiak have a lot to prove. A road win over the Colts would go a long way in proving that Peyton still has it and that Elway made the right decision by hiring his buddy Kubiak.
  4. Buffalo at Philadelphia, Week 14 – McCoy pretty much labeled Philadelphia coach Chip Kelly a racist after Kelly traded him. Kelly cleaned house this spring in order to get his guys into his system. Yes, this game isn’t a revenge matchup in the traditional sense, but it sure is going to be fun, isn’t it?
  5. New York Jets at Buffalo, Week 17 – In Week 17, Buffalo hosts the New York Jets. This game will be a revenge contest for Rex Ryan who built the Jets’ talented defense. Ryan would like nothing more than to show Jets’ fans that NYJ upper management should have stuck with him.
  6. Dallas at New Orleans, Week 4 – Saints coach Sean Payton used to own the Dallas Cowboys. But in Week 4 last season, Dallas throttled the Saints 38 to 17. It was a key game for New Orleans who could have climbed to 2 and 2 on the season. Instead, New Orleans ended up at 1 and 3. Payton and the Saints will want payback versus the Cowboys in Week 4.
