New England Vs Arizona NFL Week 1 SpreadNoah Williams
The Arizona Cardinals will look to man-handle the Tom Brady-less new England Patriots when the two Super Bowl 51 hopefuls square off in their Week 1 matchup on Sunday, live from University of Phoenix Stadium.
With Brady out for the first four games of the regular season, the Pats face the first of a quartet of challenges without their future Hall of Fame quarterback. Now, let’s find out where the value in this matchup lies.

Bet The New England Patriots ay +5.5 Because…
Because they have Bill Belichick on their sideline.
The Patriots went 1-3 in the preseason and only won their finale because Tom Brady played far more than expected.
Without Brady for this affair, New England will turn to backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and that’s not a good thing. While Garoppolo hasn’t looked awful this preseason, clearly, he’s no Tom Brady and that alone will alter Bill Belichick’s game plans the next four weeks.
Still, Garoppolo does have the best tight end in the game today in Rob Gronkowski and another elite veteran at the same position in Martellus Bennett. The Patriots ranked third in scoring in 2015 (28.3 ppg), but they’ll be hard-pressed to duplicate those numbers without Brady.
Defensively, New England ranked 13th in points allowed (21.2 ppg), but traded gifted defensive end Chandler Jones, ironically, to Arizona.
Bet The Arizona Cardinals at -5.5 Because…
Because the Cardinals have the edge at every talent position except of TE.
For Arizona, it’s all or nothing after winning a whopping 13 games last season but failing to reach Super Bowl 50.
Arizona will turn to veteran quarterback Carson Palmer, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and underrated running back David Johnson to lead an offense that ranked second in scoring (29.4 ppg).
In addition to the aforementioned trio, Palmer will also throw to underrated wideouts John Brown and Michael Floyd and tight end Jermaine Gresham.
Head coach Bruce Arians also has a phenomenal defense that ranked seventh overall (333.8 ypg) and equally impressive 13th in points allowed (21.2 ppg). In addition to adding Chandler Jones, the Cardinals also drafted stud defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche late in the first round to shore up a pass rush that ranked a mediocre 20th overall last season.
NFL Week 1 ATS Pick
The New England Patriots have gone 3-6-1 ATS in their last 10 games and surprising 1-4 SU in their last five road games.
While the Cardinals haven’t been much better in going 2-4 ATS in their last six games and 1-5 ATS in their last six matchups against the Patriots, I think the loss of Tom Brady and upgrades to Arizona’s defense, makes Arizona the easy pick to win and cash in against New England in this regular season opener.
Arizona has won five of their last six home games and will make it another by bringing home the bacon in this affair!
