The teams with arguably the two best offenses in the NFL rose to the occasion in this past Sunday’s AFC and NFC Championship games. Bet on the Atlanta Falcons +3 Because…
The Falcons’ defense has improved greatly from about the halfway point of the regular season. Atlanta picked off Seattle QB Russell Wilson twice in the Falcons’ 36 to 20 Divisional Playoff win. They picked off Aaron Rodgers once and held Green Bay to only 21 points in Atlanta’s 44 to 21 win over the Packers in the NFC Championship. If the defense continues to improve in the next couple of weeks, Atlanta should have a huge shot at winning Super Bowl 51 straight up.
Bet on the New England Patriots -3 Because…
QB Tom Brady is still playing as well as he did when he was 30-years-old. Brady, in my opinion, is the greatest quarterback to ever step onto a football field. He has 4 Super Bowl wins. He’s gone to 7 straight AFC Championship Games. He destroyed Pittsburgh’s defense in the AFC Championship. Terrific Tom threw for 384 yards. He threw 3 TD passes. He was unstoppable.
New England Vs Atlanta Super Bowl 51 ATS Pick
Atlanta is an excellent team. But, it’s difficult to win a Super Bowl by outscoring your opponents. Although Atlanta played well versus Green Bay in the NFC Championship, facing a fired-up Tom Brady and the New England Patriots is a different situation.
Brady is simply the greatest QB to ever play in the NFL. He’ll get two weeks to prepare for an Atlanta defense that, although much improved, has no shot at stopping New England’s offense.
More importantly, New England has the better defense. The Patriots allow an average of 15.6 points per game. That’s an unbelievable stat. Yes, Atlanta figures to score more than that, I think they’ll get 24, but it won’t be enough.
New England and Terrific Tom are ready for another Super Bowl ring. Atlanta is going to be a good team for a long time. But, the Falcons face motivated legends in Brady and coach Bill Belichick on Feb. 5.
The Patriots win Super Bowl 51.
