New York Vs Dallas Expert Pick NFL Week 1Noah Williams
In NFL Week 1 action the Dallas Cowboys host the New York Giants in a huge Week 1 NFC East divisional showdown that could have postseason implications for both teams at some point of the 2016 regular season.
NFL Week 1 New York Giants Vs Dallas Cowboys Expert Pick
The NFL week 1 betting spread shrunk from four points to a pick when Dallas QB Tony Romo (back) went down. In my opinion it should have shifted even more. The Cowboys are likely to start rookie QB Dak Prescott who has wowed in the preseason, he was drafted in the fourth round.

Bet The Dallas Cowboys Because…
They’re playing at home against a division rival and have plenty of motivation.
The Dallas Cowboys went 1-3 in the preseason, but are playing at home against a division rival they’ve beaten five times in the last six meetings. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the ‘Boys are once again without starting quarterback Tony Romo after he was injured in Week 3 of the preseason and lost for the next six to ten weeks at the very least.
Unlike last season however, when Dallas couldn’t even play competent football without Romo under center, Dallas looks more prepared for life after Tony with rookie signal-caller Dak Prescott playing excellent football all preseason long.
Prescott will be playing behind the best offensive line in all of football and he now has an elite running back in fellow rookie Ezekiel Elliot to hand off to, not to mention Pro Bowl wideout Dez Bryant to throw to.
Bet The New York Giants Because…
The Giants can score the ball with any team in the league and will have the edge at quarterback in this regular season opener.
New York won their final two preseason games to finish at 2-2 and will have a new look in 2016 under first-year head coach and former offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo.
The Giants will score their fair share of points again in 2016 behind veteran quarterback Eli Manning and gifted wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Manning has thrown for 65 touchdowns the last two seasons and Beckham Jr. has topped the 1,000-yrd receiving mark in each of his two seasons in the league.
The big questions for the Giants will come on defense after they finished dead last in total yards allowed and a pitiful 31st in points allowed. New York is hoping the offseason additions they made on the defensive side of the ball will improve their play on that side of the ball, but that remains to be seen right now.
NFL Week 1 Expert Pick
Even with Tony Romo out of the lineup, I think the Cowboys will give the Giants a very tough way to go as they get back to the power rushing ways that helped them win a dozen games two years ago.
While the outcome of this contest could literally go either way, I absolutely love the Over as my top pick for this Week 1 NFC East clash.
The Cowboys and Giants have combined to play Over this game’s 46-point O/U Total in seven straight meetings and nine of the last 10 meetings overall. I suspect Dallas will still score their fair share of points with Prescott leading them and so will the Giants.
With New York going 4-1 ATS in their last five games in the month of September while the Cowboys have gone 10-25-1 ATS in their last 36 home games and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
With the Giants going 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games against Dallas, I think Eli Manning and the G-Men get the narrow outright road win.
