Sports fans will be treated to a great game between age old NFL rivals.
The San Francisco 49ers invade AT&T Stadium to take on the Dallas Cowboys in NFL week 1 betting action, and the winner will be the team whose defense steps up. While the 49ers defense is top tier, they will be without some key players and going against an elite offense.
The 49ers will be without their star linebacker against the Cowboys and beyond. Aldon Smith has been suspended for nine games for violating the league substance abuse program. In 2013, he missed five games, but still managed to record 8.5 sacks.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, are very suspect on defense, but going against an offense that has struggled thus far in 2014, albeit in limited preseason action. More on this later. So now most people are wondering by how many points are the 49ers going to beat the Cowboys by.
Week 1 NFL Betting Predictions – Cowboys Host Niners in Week 1 NFC Mismatch!
Preview: Dallas (8-8 SU,9-7 ATS) looked completely inept in going 0-4 SU and ATS in the preseason, allowing 27 points or more in every contest and getting held to seven or less in two games.

San Francisco (14-5 SU, 11-6-2 ATS) won their last two preseason games to finish the tune-up period 2-2 SU and ATS. More telling is the fact that Frisco gave up 13 points or less in each of their last two preseason games.
Analysis: San Francisco has legitimate Super Bowl hopes while Dallas enters the 2014 NFL regular season looking to avoid becoming the first team in league history to go 8-8 for four consecutive seasons.

Cowboy’s QB Tony Romo participated sparingly in this year’s preseason, but Sunday will be his first meaningful game, since undergoing back surgery. Romo had a perfect passer rating in his first exhibition game, and followed that up with a 10-for-18 performance in his second and final contest. There is no telling how the injury will affect Romo upon his return, the Cowboys expect the veteran to be at full strength in 2014.
“The last couple weeks we’ve seen Tony really be himself,” Dallas head coach Jason Garrett said at a Monday press conference. “He’s moved around in practice very spontaneously. He’s made a lot of throws. He’s taken hits in games. He’s come back from all that stuff.
“He’s worked very hard to get himself to the point where he’s 100 percent with his back. It’s going to be a work in progress for him, as it would be with anyone coming off an injury.”
San Francisco has gone a blistering 8-1 SU in its last 9 games and bankroll-boosting 7-1-2 ATS in its last 10 road games.
Dallas is 1-4 ATS in its last five games and a dismal 6-13 ATS in its last 19 home games overall. The Niners win and cover with room to spare.
