NFL Preseason Week 3 Over/Under Predictions

NFL Preseason Week 3 Over/Under Predictions

NFL Preseason Week 3 is about to kick-off and most teams should play most of their starters for most of the first half as a tune-up for the regular season. With that in mind here are my NFL preseason Week 3 over/under betting predictions.

NFL Preseason Week 3 Over/Under Predictions

New York Giants vs. Cincinnati Bengals 42

The New York Giants offense has been awfully sharp in a couple of preseason battles. The G-Men dropped 31 onto the New York Jets in Week 1. They dropped 32 onto the Chicago Bears in Week 2. It’s difficult to see the Giants not scoring 30 again. Cincinnati moved the ball well versus Washington. They scored 23. Because the Giants’ defense is terrible, this should easily go over.

Prediction: Over

Washington Redskins vs. Atlanta Falcons 41 ½

Washington’s offense has been horrid during the preseason. Yep, it’s only the preseason. Let’s be honest, though, Case Keenum nor Colt McCoy are close to being as capable as Alex Smith. Dwayne Haskins is a rookie. The Falcons won’t open the playbook here. Sure sounds like an under game.

Prediction: Under

Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions 42

Buffalo’s defense is terrific. The Lions? It’s looked horrible. The Bills have been scoring. They should be good for over 30 here. Can the Lions put some points on the board for the over? They were good for 23 in the loss to the Houston Texans in preseason Week 2. This should go over.

Prediction: Over

Chicago Bears vs. Indianapolis Colts 40 ½

Neither one of these squads has put an emphasis on their offenses. The Bears scored 13 points in preseason Week 2 after scoring 13 points in preseason Week 1. The Colts scored 16 points in Week 1 and 18 points in Week 2. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck won’t play in any games during the preseason. Before battling the Browns, observers saw Luck warming up, but the Colts want to be sure he’s ready for the regular season. This one goes under.

Prediction: Under

New Orleans Saints vs. New York Jets 42 ½

The Jets have scored 22 points in two straight games. They might only score 20 versus the Saints. New Orleans averaged a ton of points last season. Most of their games went under the total. Even if they play both Drew Brees and Alvin Kamara, this game is trending to go under because the Saints’ defense is one of the better units in the NFL while the Jets’ defense is also pretty good.

Prediction: Under
