A Closer Look At My NFL Week 15 Five ? Lock Picks

Where: Landover, MD
Stadium: FedEx Field
Spread: Buffalo -1

Listen: Buffalo vs Washington

Analysis: Buffalo is the team that has sort of fallen apart. The Bills are 6 and 7 after losing 3 out of their last 4 games. It’s doubtful that the Bills will make the playoffs this season. The way that Buffalo has lost is worrisome. The Bills allowed KC to score 30 against them on Nov. 29. They allowed Philly to score 23 on Dec. 13.

Washington lost 16 to 19 to Dallas on Dec. 7. Washington bounced back in Week 14 with a terrific 24 to 21 win over Chicago on the road. The win was QB Kirk Cousins third straight terrific game. Cousins has recorded QB ratings of 114.4, 101.4 and 104.2. Even though Buffalo’s pass defense has improved as the season has worn on, I have to believe that Cousins continues with the hot hand.

Pick: Washington

What: Kansas City Chiefs (8-5) at Baltimore Ravens (4-9)
When: Sunday, December 20, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Baltimore, MD
Stadium: M&T Bank Stadium
Spread: Chiefs -7.5
Moneyline: Kansas City -330 vs Baltimore +275
Game Total: 43
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Kansas City vs Baltimore

Analysis: Baltimore goes into Week 15 off of a horrible 16 to 35 loss to Seattle. The Ravens signed Ryan Mallett to play QB, or to back-up Jimmy Clausen or to back-up Matt Schaub, after Mallett insisted that he’s found help for his personal issues. Man, that’s tough. Schaub, Clausen or Mallett?  Those are the choices?

Kansas City’s defense is allowing an average of 18.7 points per game this season. The defense should have no trouble stopping Baltimore’s offense with one of those guys under center. KC’s offense should be able to move the ball against Baltimore’s defense, which still makes too many mistakes to keep the Ravens in games.

Pick: Kansas City

What: Denver Broncos (10-3) at Pittsburgh Steelers (8-5)
When: Sunday, December 20, 2015
Kickoff: 4:25 PM ET
Where: Pittsburgh, PA
Stadium: Heinz Field
Spread: Steelers -6
Moneyline: Denver +215 vs Pittsburgh -255
Game Total: 44.5
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Denver vs Pittsburgh

Analysis: Denver’s Brock Osweiler’s last 3 QB ratings are 72.5 against New England, 76.8 versus San Diego, and 84.4 versus Oakland. Osweiler is the scheduled starter against Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Pittsburgh has become, arguably, the most dangerous team in the NFL. The Steelers have won 4 out of their last 5 games. The offense has scored 30 points or more in 5 straight. Since Denver doesn’t have much of an offense, Pittsburgh may not need 30 in order to cover the spread in this matchup. Another thing to note is that Denver’s defense has shown signs of wear and tear in the Broncos’ last few games. Expect Steeler QB Ben Roethlisberger to take advantage of that.

Pick: Pittsburgh
