Over/Under Picks NFL Week 7

Carolina Panthers at Philadelphia Eagles
When: Sunday, Oct. 21 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
Odds: 45

Analysis: Surprisingly, Carolina couldn’t get its offense going until it was too late in the 17-23 loss to Washington in Week 6. The Panthers have a good shot of getting their offense going versus a Philadelphia Eagles unit that allows 273 passing yards per, though.

Also, Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz should have no trouble carving up an overrated Panthers defense that yields 255.6 passing yards. Opponents rush for over 100 yards against Carolina while Philly allows over 22 points per.

Eagles will be good for 30 while Carolina’s good for 21 to 24. That means it goes over.

Pick: Over

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars
When: Sunday, Oct. 21 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: TIAA Bank Field, Jacksonville, FL
Odds: 43

Analysis: Dallas destroyed Jacksonville’s offense in Week 6, rushing for 206 yards and scoring 40 points. Houston won’t score 40 points against the Jaguars in Week 7, but Houston can rush the football.

The Texans can also throw the football, which means even if Jalen Ramsey believes he can contain De’Andre Hopkins, Texans’ quarterback Deshaun Watson should light up the Jags’ secondary.

Houston’s defense allowed Buffalo to score 13 points. The Jaguars are good for at least 24 to 27. If Texans scores the same, we’re looking at an easy over.

Pick: Over

New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens
When: Sunday, Oct. 21 at 4:05 pm ET
Where: B&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD
Odds: 50

Analysis: New Orleans averages 36 points per game, ranking first in the NFL. Not only that, but the Saints head to Baltimore after their bye. Coach Sean Payton and Drew Brees almost definitely put together a game plan that punishes that Ravens.

Baltimore can put up some points. Though it’s possible that the Ravens have trouble moving the football if they can get their rushing attack going. The Saints allow 71.4 yards per. That makes New Orleans first in the NFL against the rush.

Because the Ravens have trouble passing the ball, I think it goes under.
