NFL Over/Under Betting Trends Analysis Week 17

Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs
When: Sunday, Dec. 30 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
TV: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Total Points: 52½

Over/Under Betting Analysis: Kansas City is one of the top scoring teams in the NFL. The Chiefs average a fantastic 35.6 points per. That ranks first in the league. But, KC also allows a ton of points. Kansas City gives up 27.1 points per. That ranks 29th in the NFL. Oakland only averages 18.6 points per game while allowing close to 30 per game. Kansas City will score while the Raiders should eclipse their season average. The NFL betting trends point to this game going OVER.

Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
When: Sunday, Dec. 30 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL
TV: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Total Points: 51½

Over/Under Betting Analysis: Atlanta averages 25.3 points per while giving up 26 points on average per game. The last time they faced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Falcons scored 34 in a 34-29 win. Tampa averages 24 points, and does give up over 28 per. But, before jumping on over the total, it’s important to note that Buccaneers games have gone under a lot in recent weeks. The under is 6-1 in Tampa Bay’s last 7 games.

With both teams being eliminated from the playoffs weeks ago, traditional NFL betting trends can be thrown out of the window. Both teams are playing for pride and jobs next season and that means this tilt may look like a college football game. There will be a lot of big plays and a ton of turnovers. Don’t be surprised if this game has already gone OVER by the third quarter.

San Francisco 49ers at L.A. Rams
When: Sunday, Dec. 30 at 4:25 pm ET
Where: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, CA
TV: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Total Points: 50

Over/Under Betting Analysis: The Rams have a great offense, but 50 feels like a ton of points. Los Angeles averages 32 points per game while only allowing 23.5. Over looks good until we look at San Francisco, who only averages 20.7 points per. The thing to worry about is how San Francisco’s defense has played exceptionally well in their last 3 games. Those last 3 games were at home, though. The over is 5-2 in Rams home games this season. The NFL betting trends point to the game going OVER.
