Panthers Vs Bucs Spread & Betting TipsNoah Williams
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have lost three straight, but they’re clearly playing better football than a Carolina Panthers team that has dropped two straight and doesn’t seem to have much of an identity on offense right now. The Week 8 NFL betting spread favors the Bucs by 2.5-points over the Panthers.
The Bucs will host the Panthers on Sunday live from Raymond James Stadium when this game goes down at 1:00 PM ET while airing on FOX TV.
Carolina Panthers Vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL Week 8 Spread & Betting Tips
Carolina Panthers (4-3) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-4)
When: Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Raymond James Stadium
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Spread: Tampa Bay -2.5
Why Bet the Carolina Panthers Spread at +2.5
The Panthers need a win in the worst way after dropping consecutive games including their completely baffling 17-3 loss to a Chicago Bears team that isn’t very good, despite playing better football under rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky the last couple of weeks. Anyway, quarterback Cam Newton is back to struggling after throwing two picks and losing one fumble against Chicago last weekend while canceling out his team’s solid defensive effort, seeing as how Carolina limited Chicago to just 153 yards of total offense and sacked Trubisky four times.
Carolina is 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and an awful 1-6 ATS in their last six games against their NFC South division rivals.
Why Bet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Spread at -2.5
Tampa Bay has lost three straight games, but they’ve at least been able to put points on the board in falling to Arizona 38-33 two weeks ago and Buffalo 30-27 last weekend. Despite being banged-up after injuring his shoulder against Arizona, quarterback Jameis Winston threw for 384 yards with three touchdowns and one pick.
Tampa Bay has gone 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record while the favorite in this divisional series has gone 13-6 ATS in their last 19 meetings.
Panthers Vs Bucs Betting Tips
I don’t know what’s wrong with Carolina, but clearly, they’ve got some serious issues right now that make the Bucs the pick to win and cover the spread at home in this contest. Cam Newton has been an inconsistent mess this season and the Panthers just don’t seem to have a real identity on offense, even though I’m thinking they need to start featuring Christian McCaffery a whole lot more than they currently are.
Simply put, I believe Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers are going to simply outscore an offensively-challenged Panthers team to get the classic field goal win and super narrow ATS cover.
Pick: Tampa Bay -2.5
