NFL Parlay Picks Preseason Week 1

NFL Parlay Picks Preseason Week 1

The 2017 NFL season is back. The preseason! If you are ready to get in on the action, use my two and three team NFL preseason Week 1 picks to cash in before the season kicks off.

2-Team Parlay NFL Preseason Week 1

  • Atlanta +2
  • Washington +1

Atlanta at Miami
When:  Thursday, Aug. 10 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL
Odds: Atlanta +2, Total 39

Analysis: Atlanta travels to Miami Gardens to battle the Dolphins. Right now, the Falcons are +2 dogs. That shouldn’t matter. Atlanta should have no trouble winning this game.

It’s doubtful that Miami comes out guns blazing. The Fins already got 2 of their starters hurt in RB Jay Ajayi and QB Ryan Tannehill. Who knows?  Miami might not even play their second string QB in this game. If I was Miami, I wouldn’t play my second-string RB or second string QB.  If I’m right, that should give Atlanta, who is deep across the board, the advantage.

The Falcons start off the season with a nice NFL Preseason win in Week 1.

Pick: Atlanta money line

Washington at Baltimore
When:  Thursday, Aug. 10 at 7:30 pm ET
Where: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore
Odds: Washington +1, Total 38

Analysis: The team that plays in D.C. won its first 3 NFL Preseason games of the year last season. That might not be the case this season. The reason why I think things should be different is because QB Kirk Cousins signed his franchise tender tag.

Washington might not play Cousins at all during the preseason. Not only that, but I feel like the mentality in Washington isn’t what it should be because Washington didn’t commit to Cousins.

I’m going with Baltimore in this one. I just don’t see how the D.C.’ers get themselves up for the first preseason game knowing that their starting QB isn’t more than a rental.

Pick: Baltimore -1

3-Team Parlay NFL Preseason Week 1

  • Atlanta +2
  • Washington +1
  • Indianapolis pk

Detroit at Indianapolis
When:  Sunday, Aug. 13 at 1:30 pm ET
Where: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN
TV:  NFL Net
Odds: Indianapolis pk, Total 38

Analysis: Detroit beat Buffalo 30 to 0 in their first NFL Preseason game of 2016. Could the Lions demolish Indianapolis in Indiana on Sunday?

Probably not. Nobody expects either Matthew Stafford, with Detroit, or Andrew Luck, with Indianapolis, to step onto the field. What it means is that each team’s back-up is going to play. Heck, both teams might go 3 to 4 deep at the QB position in this match up

Scott Tolzien, who should see some snaps as Luck’s back-up on Sunday, knows Indianapolis’s system. He’s done well backing up Luck. That should be the difference.

Indy gets the job done by beating Detroit on Aug. 13.

Pick: Indianapolis pk
