Bet The Pittsburgh Steelers +6 Because…
Both WR Antonio Brown and QB Ben Roethlisberger will play. Yes, Brown is going through the NFL’s concussion protocol. But, Brown gets an extra day to rest. Pitt won’t have to release his status all the way up to kick-off. With the extra day, Pitt could have Brown return to practice on Saturday before announcing if he will play. As far as Big Ben is concerned, he came back onto the field on Saturday’s game and led the Steelers on the final drive. He should definitely play this Sunday.

Bet The Denver Broncos -6- Because…
Peyton Manning will be under center. Even though Brock Osweiler showed promise during the regular season, Manning has the playoff experience. Not only does Peyton have the experience, but he showed against San Diego in the drive that led the Broncos to a win and the number one seed in the playoffs that he understands his limitations. Peyton went 5 of 9 for 69 yards. He made great audible plays in the running game to get Ronny Hillman loose for the winning touchdown run.
Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction
This is a tough game to pick. Denver has the edge due to home field advantage and a healthy Peyton Manning, but Pittsburgh might have the edge with their rush defense. As good as Denver’s defense has been all season long, it looked worn down versus Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and San Diego in the Broncos’ last 3 regular season games.
Denver’s D allowed the Steelers to score 27 points and Big Ben to throw for 354 passing yards and 3 touchdowns in Week 15. In Week 16, A.J. McCarron passed for 200 yards and a TD. The Bengals rushed for 108 yards. In Week 17, San Diego’s Phillip Rivers threw for 228 yards and 2 TDs. The Chargers rushed for 110 yards after averaging 84.9 per game.
Pittsburgh’s defense looked great versus the Bengals. The Steelers yielded only 91 rushing yards and 188 passing yards. If Pitt’s defense can shut down Denver’s rushing attack on Sunday, the Steelers will have a shot at the win even if Brown and Big Ben are out.
My final score prediction is Pittsburgh 23, Denver 17.
