My NFL Preseason Week 4 Two-Team Parlay Pick

  • Philadelphia Eagles
  • Minnesota Vikings

Philadelphia Eagles vs New York Jets
Date: Thursday, September 3, 2015
Start Time: 7:00 PM ET
Location: East Rutherford, NJ
Stadium: Metlife Stadium
Odds: Jets -2.5
Game Total: 40
Radio: Philadelphia vs NY Jets

Analysis: Philadelphia has been awesome so far during the NFL Pre-season. The Eagles are undefeated. They led Green Bay 25 to 0 after the first quarter and 39 to 14 at halftime in Week 3. Granted, Green Bay didn’t start QB Aaron Rodgers and 3 players along the offensive line, but Philadelphia has been scoring points like crazy during the pre-season.

The scoring fest should continue for the Eagles no matter who plays QB versus the New York Jets in Week 4. The Jets’ defense is very good, but it will be without first round pick Leonard Williams who suffered an injury in Week 3. Williams had replaced Sheldon Richardson who is suspended. The Jets also had 8 penalties versus the Giants in Week 3 after committing 17 penalties versus the Falcons in Week 2.

Philadelphia should beat the Jets by at least 10 to 14 points in this matchup.

Minnesota Vikings vs Tennessee Titans
Date: Thursday, September 3, 2015
Start Time: 8:00 PM ET
Location: Nashville, TN
Stadium: LP Field
Odds: Titans -1
Game Total: 38.5
Radio: Minnesota vs Tennessee

Analysis: Minnesota has now won 9 straight NFL Pre-season games after beating Dallas 28 to 14 in Week 3. The Vikings could be the surprise team in the NFC North and maybe even in the NFC and the NFL this season. Minnesota looks strong on both offense and defense and the coaching staff appears to have a bead on the strengths and weaknesses of each one of their players.

Minnesota should roll over Tennessee. The Vikings are creating a winning culture, which means that their second and third string units play as hard as the first string unit. Go with Minnesota.

Kansas City Chiefs Vs St. Louis Rams
Date: Thursday, September 3, 2015
Start Time: 8:00 PM ET
Location: Saint Louis, MO
Stadium: Edward Jones Dome
Odds: Rams -2.5
Game Total: 39
Radio: Kansas City vs St. Louis

Analysis: Another team that appears to have that winning culture going on is the Kansas City Chiefs. KC has won every single game so far during the pre-season. The Chiefs beat Arizona 34 to 19, they beat Seattle 14 to 13 and they beat Tennessee 34 to 10.

The Chiefs’ QB Alex Smith has found a real target in WR Jeremy Maclin. Maclin caught 7 passes from Smith. Maclin scored a TD and ended up with a 9.3 average. If Maclin does become a top WR in the AFC, the Chiefs should be one of the best teams in the conference because they still have the terrific Jamal Charles.

St. Louis hasn’t decided on how their offensive line is going to look during the regular season. That’s not good considering KC has an excellent pass rush.
