Hakeem Nicks in a game against the Oakland Raiders

The Raiders have to bounce back from last week

The Raiders were literally torched last weeks against the Eagles, they allowed a backup QB to throw for 406 yards and 7 touchdowns, not only was that the worst defensive play of the season but it was embarrassing to have it happen at home. The New York Giants are next on the Raiders schedule for this week and it does not get much better than this, the perfect game to bounce back with, a team that has lost their offensive identity with a records of 2-6. If ever there was a time for the Raiders to come out and show the League who they really are, it´s this one, after last week they have little choice.

Oakland knows that they are one of the easier games on other teams’ schedule, they know that most of the time they are the dog, even at home. So, with the Giants coming off a win they will look to really make a statement in this game, pushing the ball and attacking on both sides. QB Terrelle Pryor has shown that he can led this offense, but they have to make the plays on third downs, they rank dead last in that area, something that would change the game for them if they could convert those big plays.

The New York Giants are having their worst offensive season ever, QB Eli Manning cannot seem to find any consistency in his passing game while the receivers seem to all brush their gloves with butter before the game because they lead the League in dropped passes. Defensively they can hang in their but after being on the field for 60% of the game they give out, give up the scoring plays that make it that much harder for their struggling offense to ¡compete with.

What to Expect:

The bookmakers have the Giants -7 in this game with a total of 43.5, I cannot disagree more, I know it´s the Giants at home against the Raiders, but that is simply insulting and if I were a Raider, I would let the entire team know how bad the “experts” think they are. The Giants do not have the offense to win this game by seven, take the Raiders, they will bounce back in this game.
