Drew Brees and the streaking New Orleans Saints will look to hand Jared Goff and the explosive Los Angeles Rams their second straight loss when they visit their NFC counterparts for what looks like a very interesting Week 12 matchup just waiting to happen. The Week 13 NFL oddsmakers have installed the Rams as 2.5-point home favorites over the Saints. The over/under is 53.5.

Bet The Saints Because…
Not only has New Orleans won eight straight games coming into this contest, but their 34-31 comeback win in overtime against Washington this past weekend tells me that nothing is impossible for this team this season. Despite being down by 15 points with less than six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Drew Brees was masterful leading the Saints to two touchdowns in the game’s final 2:53.
Running back Mark Ingram had his second straight 130-plus yards rushing performance while Brees threw for 385 yards and two Tds. New Orleans got the win on Will Lutz’s 28-yard field goal with 7:25 remaining in overtime.
Bet The Rams Because…
The Rams, on the other hand, saw their four-game winning streak come to an abrupt halt in their humbling 24-7 loss to Minnesota this past weekend while never coming close to covering the spread as a 1-point road dog.
L.A.’s league-leading offense was held to just 45 rushing yards in the loss and never scored after running back Todd Gurley found the end zone from six yards out in the first quarter. Los Angeles also gave up two rushing touchdowns to Latavius Murray in the loss and 123 receiving yards and one score to Vikings wideout Adam Thielen.
New Orleans Saints Vs Los Angeles Rams Final Score Prediction
For me, I’m really a bit surprised the Rams are slight home favorites in this Week 12 matchup against New Orleans after seeing the way they got manhandled by Minnesota’s defense last weekend. While I don’t see the Saints’ defense duplicating Minnesota’s fantastic defensive effort last weekend, I do like Drew Brees and company to get the outright road win and ATS cover to extend their stellar eight-game winning streak.
The Saints are a near-perfect 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up win and a blistering 12-2 ATS in their last 14 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. I like the Saints to win and cash in NFL betting buffs!
