Can Browns Get First Win of Season or Even Cover the Spread Against Stafford and Desperate Lions?
The Cleveland Browns are completely and utterly desperate to get their first win of the season. Unfortunately, Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions are equally desperate heading into their Week 10 Inter-conference clash against Cleveland. For this Week 10 tilt, the Las Vegas NFL oddsmakers have listed the Lions as 12-point favorites over the Browns.
Let’s find out now what’s going to go down when these two square off at Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday at 1:00 PM ET with this contest airing on CBS.

Why Bet The Cleveland Browns Over The Lions
The Browns had a bye last weekend following their 33-16 home loss against Minnesota two weeks ago, but they’ve got some serious problems at quarterback where head coach Hue Jackson simply can’t decide on a starter. DeShone Kizer, Kevin Hogan, and Cody Kessler have all been given a shot at the starting job this season and right now, no one really knows who’s going to be under center for Cleveland moving forward, although all signs are pointing to Kizer getting the nod. The Browns haven’t won a road game since October of 2015 and DeShone Kizer is completing just 52.1 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and an ugly 11 interceptions.
Why Bet The Detroit Lions Over The Browns
Detroit laid an emphatic 30-17 smackdown on Green Bay on Monday night to both, snap a three-game skid and cover the chalk as a 2.5-point road favorite just as I predicted and now they’re desperate to get another win and keep their playoff hopes alive as they sit two games behind Minnesota in the NFC North. The Lions have won seven of their last 11 home games coming into this contest and are getting a solid season out of Stafford, although their defense has been mediocre at best this season.
ATS Pick Cleveland Vs Detroit
Cleveland has gone 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 road games and doesn’t look like they could beat a really good college football team, like, let’s say Alabama right now. Detroit may have their issues, but the Lions are also a perfect 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games in November. The Browns are well-rested while the Lions are working on a short week. Still, I just can’t bring myself to back Cleveland in this contest after watching the incompetence that takes place for the Browns on a weekly basis. I’m not n love with the double-digit spread, but I say go with the 63 percent of public bettors that like the Lions in this one!
