Spread & ATS Pick Miami Dolphins Vs Carolina PanthersJosh Bailey
Can Cam and Panthers Cover Chalk As Near Double-Digit favorites Against Cutler and Dolphins?
Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers will look to extend their modest winning ways when they host Jay Cutler and a Miami Dolphins team that will be looking to get back in the win column after suffering a heartbreaking loss last time out. The Las Vegas NFL oddsmakers have set the spread at 9-points in favor of Carolina over Miami. The over/under is a paltry 39.5-points.
Now, let’s find out what’s going to go down when these two playoff hopeful teams square off at Bank of America Stadium in their Monday Night Football matchup at 7:30 PM ET with this contest airing live on ESPN.

Why Bet The Miami Dolphins
Miami has lost two straight but put up a good effort in their narrow 27-24 loss against Oakland last weekend despite failing to cover the spread as a 3-point home underdog. Veteran quarterback Jay Cutler passed for 311 yards and three touchdowns in Miami’s first game after trading former Pro Bowl running back Jay Ajayi. The Dolphins allowed Oakland’s Derek Carr to pass for 300 yards and gave up two rushing touchdowns to Marshawn Lynch in his return from a one-game suspension.
Why Bet The Carolina Panthers
Carolina will look to extend their two-game winning streak after getting past Atlanta 20-17 in a hard-fought matchup against their NFC South division rivals last weekend. Cam Newton had a modest passing day with just 137 yards and no Tds or interceptions, but he did rush nine times for 86 yards and one touchdown while rookie running back Christian McCaffery added 66 rushing yards and one score on 16 carries.
ATS Pick Miami Dolphins Vs Carolina Panthers
The Dolphins may have a respectable 4-4 record on the year, but it’s actually incredible that they’re not 2-6 if you ask me, seeing as how they rank dead last in all of football in scoring this season by averaging a pitiful 14.5 points per game and have been just mediocre on the other side of the ball in giving up 22.4 points per contest to rank 16th in points allowed.
While Cam Newton has been wildly inconsistent in throwing 10 TD passes and 11 interceptions for a Panthers team that ranks just 24th in scoring (18.7 ppg), Carolina does have an outstanding defense that ranks a stellar fourth in points allowed (17.7 ppg). I’m fully expecting the Panthers to harass Jay Cutler into a couple of costly turnovers while getting the double-digit win and ATS cover, although I should say that 58 percent of public bettors like the Fins to cover the chalk.
The Dolphins are a winless 0-7 ATS in their last seven Monday night games and 8-18-1 ATS in their last 27 games following an ATS loss. Conversely, Carolina is 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games in November and 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
I’m thinking Miami is going down and going down hard in this one!
