The Arizona Cardinals have the best record in the NFL entering week 10 as look for their eighth win of the season when they host the division rivals, St. Louis Rams, this Sunday at 4:25 PM ET, at the U of Phoenix Stadium.
The Cards are 7-1 and 4-0 at home, leading the NFC West division by two games over the Seattle Seahawks, three over San Francisco 49ers and four over the Rams. Arizona recorded their fourth straight victory after beating the Tony Romo-less Dallas Cowboys 28-17 last week.

The Rams, on the other side, earned a well deserved win in week 9 by upsetting the San Francisco 49ers 13-10 at Santa Clara, forcing a fumble inside the red zone in the last play of the game. St. Louis is 3-5 with a 2-2 road record with their three wins have come against divisional rivals, so, maybe Arizona shouldn’t sleep on them.
The Cards are seven-point favorites over the Rams according to the NFL betting lines, and the game total is currently sitting at 43 points.
How are the Cardinals doing it?
Having the best record in the NFL after nine weeks can’t be a fluke, but the stats are anything but impressive. On offense, the Cardinals are ranked 16th in passing yards (238.9 per game), 28th in rushing yards (90.5 per game).
On defense they are dead last against the pass, allowing 186.8 yards per game. The only eye popping stat is that they excel is stopping the run where they are 3rd best in the NFL, allowing less than 80 yards a game.
Arizona has a +10 differential between takeaways and giveaways, forcing 16 takeaways in the season while losing the ball just six times.
Head-to-head betting trends
