Bet The Titans Because…
The Tennessee Titans have won two straight games and come into this contest off a hard-fought 24-13 win over Houston last weekend while covering the spread as a 7-point road favorite. Third-year Marcus Mariota played just well enough by passing for 150 yards and one touchdown while rushing for another while second-year running back Derrick Henry continued his fine campaign by adding 109 rushing yards and one score.
Bet The Cardinals Because…
Well, don’t. Arizona has lost three of four and comes into this contest off a humbling 32-16 home loss against the division rival Los Angeles Rams last weekend as veteran backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert threw two costly interceptions and were held to just three points in the second half. For the season, Gabbert who is starting in place of both, starting quarterback Carson Palmer and backup, Drew Stanton, has completed just 59.6 percent of his passes while tossing six touchdowns and five interceptions.
Titans Vs Cardinals ATS Pick
Tennessee hasn’t exactly looked like a Super Bowl-contending powerhouse recently, but I’m completely stunned that 32 percent of public bettors like Arizona to cover the chalk in this matchup, even at home. Tennessee has a ton to play for right now and Arizona just doesn’t, except for the pride factor. Still, it won’t matter much because Blaine Gabbert is completely awful and will likely throw at least one costly interception just as he tossed two that I predicted last weekend. The Titans are the pick to win and cash in, even though they clearly haven’t been on anyone’s national map as far as ‘sexy’ teams that either put a bunch of points on the board or routinely shut down the opposition with stupendous defense.
