Titans Vs Steelers Line & Betting PredictionsNoah Williams
AFC North leading Pittsburgh hosts AFC South leading Tennessee in a key matchup in NFL Week 11. The game takes place on Thursday, Nov. 16. Kick-off is scheduled for 8:25 pm ET from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA.
Tennessee is 6 and 3 straight up. The Titans have gone 3 and 5 against the spread. Pittsburgh is 5 and 4 against the spread. The Steelers are 7 and 2 straight up.
Tennessee Titans Vs Pittsburgh Steelers Line & Betting Predictions
Bet on Tennessee Titans +7 because…
The Titans rushing game is finally on track. Tennessee had trouble rushing the football earlier in the season. Not anymore. The Titans average around 125 rushing yards per game. That ranks seventh in the NFL. When Tennessee can get its rushing game going, it becomes one of the most difficult teams in the league to stop from scoring points.
Bet on Pittsburgh Steelers -7 because…
Pittsburgh’s defense has gelled. Like Tennessee’s rushing attack, Pittsburgh’s defense wasn’t nearly as focused in the beginning of the season as it is now. Pitt’s D ranks second in the NFL based on yards allowed per game. The Steelers only allow 184.4 total yards per game. Opponents average 16.4 points per versus the Steelers.
Titans Vs Steelers Betting Predictions
The Steelers’ defense has gotten much better this season. But, I’m not sure how good the defense really is. Pitt has wins over Cleveland, Minnesota, Baltimore, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Detroit and Indianapolis.
Save for KC, the Steelers’ D has gotten to play against one-dimensional offenses, like Detroit’s. Pitt also got to play against teams with bad offenses like Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Baltimore. Pitt faced Minnesota without either Teddy Bridgewater or Sam Bradford at QB. Pitt faced Indianapolis in Week 10 with Jacoby Brissett at QB.
The Steelers are 3 and 9 ATS in their last 12 games in November. What it means is that Pittsburgh faces tougher spreads, not that they don’t win games straight up.
7 points are a lot to cover versus an NFL team. Because Marcus Mariota is a decent QB, Pitt might have trouble stopping the Titans from scoring enough points to keep this within the number.
I’m on Pitt to win straight up, but the Steelers always have trouble covering the spread against teams they should blow out. Just like the Colts last week.
