Updated 2019 Super Bowl Odds & Picks

The 2019 NFL Season kicks-off this week making it a great time to check in on the latest 2019 Super Bowl odds and top updated picks to become the next champions.

Updated 2019 Super Bowl Odds & Picks

2019 Super Bowl Favorite: New England Patriots +725

Terrific Tom Brady, GOAT, Mr. El Guapo himself is ready to lead the New England Patriots to yet another Super Bowl. Even though Gronk no longer catches passes from Mr. Budchen, Brady and Bill Belichick, plus their hoards of Beantown fans, have every right to be bullish on their beloved Pats.

The wide receiver position got some good news when the NFL reinstated Josh Gordon. A 50% Josh Gordon is better than most 100% wide receivers in the league. His skills could be diminished, and Flash Gordon will still have an impact on the Patriots’ season.

The defense should be good to great as well even though Patrick Chung had a run-in with a line of white powder that’s led to charges against the talented safety. These are the Patriots, so, a march to the AFC Divisional Playoffs, if not another step into the AFC Championship, is almost assured.

But, there’s a huge red flag with backing the Pats to win rings again. The Patriots haven’t won back-to-back Super Bowls since 2003-2004. That’s over 15 years ago. At +725, yeah, we need more than a belief in Terrific Tom and Scowler Bill to back, right?

2019 Super Bowl Smart Bet: New Orleans Saints +1050

One of the biggest questions around the NFL is when Drew Brees’ amazing, hall of fame, quarterbacking skills might diminish. Here’s the thing, they might have already, and the Saints are still the wise choice to win the 2020 Super Bowl.

How can that possibly be? Think about it. Brees carried the Saints for years because a) the team had no defense, and b) the squad didn’t have a strong rushing attack. These days, New Orleans has one of the most potent rushing attacks in the NFL. The defense? It’s one of the best and deepest in the pro football league.

So, N’awlins doesn’t need Brees to be Drew. They just need him to be Troy Aikman, or Phil Sims, or Mark Rypien. Brees knows this, which is why none of us should be surprised if he barely throws for 200 to 250 yards per game this season.

No worries for Saints Nation. It’s all about that elusive second championship. Brees and Sean Payton want those rings before Drew moves on and gets his bust in 5 years.

2019 Super Bowl Long Shot Pick: Baltimore Ravens +3000

It’s to the Baltimore Ravens’ benefit that so much love is going to the Cleveland Browns right now. Cleveland is absolutely head over heels over their Browns. The Dog Pound will be pumping it up this season, no doubt, but the love towards the Browns belies the real fact that not only did the Baltimore Ravens make the playoffs last season, but they also upset the L.A. Chargers in the Wildcard Round.

Lamar Jackson is the real deal. The 6’ 2”, 220 pounds Heisman Trophy winner threw only 3 interceptions in 16 games played last season. Think about that. As a rookie, LJ threw only 3 picks. Sure, he only completed 58.2% of his passes, but what would you rather have? A rookie who thinks he’s Brett Favre or one who takes care of the football?

Not only do the Ravens have a quarterback who already knows how to read defenses and takes care of the pigskin, but they’ve also got a seriously talented, lockdown, defense. Oh, it also helps that John Harbaugh is one of the best coaches in the NFL.

Ravens are for real. They can upset the Browns and Steelers, win the NFC North, and then take down the Chiefs, Bolts, and Patriots in the playoffs.
