Can Cousins and Skins Fight the Good Fight on Road in Week 9 Matchup Against Wilson and Seahawks?

Can Kirk Cousins and the struggling Washington football team fight the good fight when they hit the road to take on Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks in their Week 9 NFC matchup? The Week 9 NFL betting spread favors Seahawks by a touchdown over Washington.

Let’s find out right now if Washington can get the outright upset or cover the chalk as touchdown road dogs when this one goes down live from CenturyLink Field on Sunday at 4:05 PM ET while airing on FOX.

Things aren’t looking real good for Cousins and Washington seeing as how they’ve lost two straight in falling to Philly in the City of Brotherly Love 34-23 two weeks ago before getting smacked around by Dallas at home 33-19 last weekend. While Cousins wasn’t awful in passing for 263 yards with one touchdown and one interception against the Cowboys, Washington’s rushing attack was completely non-existent as they totaled just 49 rushing yards on 15 carries.

While Seattle’s defense gave up a whopping 38 points against Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans last weekend, Russell Wilson also managed to help the Seahawks put an impressive 41 points on the board with his first career 400-yard passing day and four TD passes.

Wide receivers Tyler Lockett and Paul Richardson each caught six passes for over 100 yards with Richardson adding two receiving scores in the win. Tight end Jimmy Graham added two TD receptions and Wilson’s favorite target, wide receiver Doug Baldwin also added six receptions in the thrilling win.

With Seattle topping the 40-point plateau for the second time in their last four games and Washington getting held to 20 points or less in two of their last four games while going 0-4 ATS over the span, I’m thinking Wilson and the Seahawks are a virtual lock to cover the chalk as a touchdown home favorite in this one.

Washington is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after giving up more than 30 points in their previous game and 1-5 ATS in their last six games against their NFC counterparts. Seattle is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in November and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game. I’m going with the Seahawks minus the touchdown and you should too!

Pick: Seattle -7
