NFL Week 1 Two-Team Parlay Pick

  • Minnesota Vikings -2
  • Philadelphia Eagles -2.5

Matchup: Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers
Date: Monday, Sept. 14th, 2015
Start Time: 10:20 p.m. ET
Location: Santa Clara, California
Stadium: Levi’s Stadium
Spread: Vikings -2.5
Game Total: 41.5
Stream: Watch ESPN
Radio: Minnesota Vs San Francisco

Analysis: No doubt that losing tackle Phil Loadholt isn’t good for the Vikings. Loadholt was a steady player for Minnesota. He kept the offensive line together. But losing a player like Loadholt won’t affect Minny the same as it would affect other teams because their QB, Teddy Bridgewater, makes excellent decisions. He’s also mobile enough to escape the rush if need be.

Bridgewater completed 29 out of 35 passes for 295 yards during the pre-season. He completed 82.8% of his passes. He threw a touchdown and he didn’t throw a pick. Norv Turner is the offensive coordinator, meaning that Minnesota should get the best possible out of both Bridgewater and former NFL MVP running back Adrian Peterson.

San Francisco’s defense has no shot at stopping Bridgewater and Peterson. More importantly, San Francisco’s offense will never be able to keep pace with the better offensive teams in the league with Colin Kaepernick at QB. Expect Minny to roll.

Matchup: Philadelphia Eagles at Atlanta Falcons
Date: Monday, Sept. 14th, 2015
Start Time: 7:10 p.m. ET
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Stadium: Georgia Dome
Spread: Eagles -2.5
Game Total: 55
Stream: Watch ESPN
Radio: Philadelphia Vs Atlanta

Analysis: Philadelphia’s offense was absolutely sensational during the pre-season. In a sign that Chip Kelly’s offensive system is taking hold at Philadelphia, the Eagles scored 18 points versus the New York Jets in Week 4 of the NFL Pre-season. Philadelphia started Tim Tebow at QB and even Tebow delivered!

Tebow threw for 189 yards and 2 touchdowns. He only tossed a single interception. That’s Tebow excelling in Chip Kelly’s offense. Sam Bradford, who will be the starter, went 10 for 10 and threw for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns against Green Bay in a pre-season game a few weeks ago.

Philly faces a defense that will be better due to Coach Dan Quinn’s system but not as good as the D that Quinn had in Seattle. He doesn’t have the players to shut down Philadelphia’s offense in this matchup.

Atlanta’s lone chance at winning or even keeping this one close will be to try and outscore Philadelphia. That’s simply not going to happen. Once again, Chip Kelly is going to prove that he’s just smarter than the naysayers.

Pick: Philadelphia -2.5

NFL Week 1 Three-Team Parlay Pick

  • Minnesota Vikings -2
  • Philadelphia Eagles -2.5
  • New England Patriots -7

Matchup: Pittburgh Steelers at New England Patriots
Date: Thursday, Sept. 10th, 2015
Start Time: 8:30 p.m. ET
Location: Foxborough, MA
Stadium: Gillette Stadium
TV Info: NBC
Stream: NBC Sports Live Extra
Spread: Patriots -7
Game Total: 54
Radio: Pittsburgh vs New England

Analysis: The Steelers suffered through numerous injuries and suspensions during the pre-season. 3 of their best players on offense won’t suit up for this battle. WR Martavis Bryant has been suspended for 4 games. RB Le’Veon Bell has to ride out a 3 game suspension. Center Maurkice Pouncey is out until late November. Losing Pouncey is huge.

Also, Pittsburgh’s defense has a lot of new faces. The Patriots got some great news the other day when it was announced that QB Tom Brady wouldn’t have to sit out the first 4 games of the regular season. The betting line hopped a full 4 points from New England being favored by 3 to New England being favored by 7.

The fact that Pittsburgh travels to New England in this game cannot be understated. The Patriot fans are going to be fired up. So will New England with Brady under center. This has the makings of a blow-out Patriot victory. Read more here.

Pick: New England -7
