NFL Week 10 Five ? Lock Picks

NFL Week 10 Five Star Lock Picks

NFL Week 10 Five ? Lock Picks

It’s getting almost impossible to find lock picks in the NFL. The league has so much parity that even beginning to look for lock picks has become a major chore. And don’t even get me started on the toll injuries are taking. Steve Smith, Jamaal Charles, Arian Foster, Le’Veon Bell, Dion Lewis and amoung others are all out for the season. Everyone of those players can win games on their own. There there are those who have missed at least a game, including: Big Ben, Josh McCown, Matt Forte, Carlos Hyde and LeSeon McCoy.

Week 10 in the NFL should provide at least three possible lock picks. The goal is to look for workable against the spread lines as well as looking for teams with a style advantage over the other team. Hopefully, the three lock picks below satisfy those requirements.

Bye Teams: San Diego, Indianapolis, San Francisco, Atlanta

A Closer Look At My NFL Week 10 Five ? Lock Picks

What: New Orleans Saints (4-5) at Washington (3-5)
When: Sunday, November 15, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Landover, MD
Stadium: FedEx Field
Weather: 53° F | More Sun Than Clouds
Spread: Saints -1.5
Moneyline: New Orleans -115 vs Washington -105
Game Total: 50
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: New Orleans vs Washington

Analysis: New Orleans failed against Tennessee, a team that they should have beaten, in Week 9. Now, they have to travel to play against tough Washington, a team that when its right, can win games.

But, the Saints have a huge advantage with quarterback Drew Brees. He’s going to light up Washington’s defense while Washington’s offense will have to suffer through another Sunday with Kirk Cousins as their man under center. Although the Saints’ defense failed against Mariota and the Titans, it shouldn’t fail against Cousins and the DC’ers.

Pick: New Orleans

What: Cleveland Browns (2-7) at Pittsburgh Steelers (5-4)
When: Sunday, November 15, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Pittsburgh, PA
Stadium: Heinz Field
Weather: 50° F | Scattered Clouds
Spread: Steelers -4.5
Moneyline: Cleveland +185 vs Pittsburgh -225
Game Total: 41
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Cleveland vs Pittsburgh

Analysis: Cleveland is a mess of a team. Even though QB Josh McCown might be able to play on Sunday, the Browns are likely to start Johnny Manziel again. No matter, Pittsburgh has been on a swoon in their past 3 games. The Steelers did beat Oakland 38 to 35 in their last. Unfortunately, Ben Roethlisberger, who threw for 334 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win, got hurt again.

Big Ben won’t be available in this game, meaning that Cleveland’s defense will get the chance to play against either Landry Jones or Michael Vick. That’s a huge downgrade for Pittsburgh’s offense.
Pittsburgh’s defense isn’t stopping anybody these days. Expect the Browns to put up some points and to easily beat this spread.

Pick: Cleveland +4.5

What: Houston Texans (3-5) at Cincinnati Bengals (8-0)
When: Monday, November 16, 2015
Kickoff: 8:30 PM ET
Where: Cincinnati, OH
Stadium: Paul Brown Stadium
Weather: 52° F | An Icy Mix Changing To Rain
Spread: Bengals -10.5
Moneyline: Houston +500 vs Cincinnati -700
Game Total: 47
Watch: ESPN

Listen: Houston vs Cincinnati

Analysis: Cincinnati has been as impressive this season as the Patriots. But the Bengals aren’t getting nearly the respect. That’s too bad. When it comes down to it, Cincy might actually be better built to win the AFC than the Patriots are.

But as good as Cincinnati has been, giving up 10 points seems like an awful lot to give up, doesn’t it?  Then again, the Bengals are 7-0-1 against the spread this season. That makes them a virtual lock each and every week.

Andy Dalton and the Bengals’ offense should dominate on the scoreboard while Houston doesn’t seem capable of putting up enough point to keep this close. Go with the Bengals.

Pick: Cincinnati -10.5
