A Closer Look At My NFL Week 10 Upset Picks

NFL Week 10 Upset Picks

Week 10 in the NFL should help us clarify which teams are really in line for playoff positions and which teams aren’t. The biggest game of the week takes place when New England travels to New York to take on the Giants. The Giants show up as a must bet upset pick on the NFL board. This is a rematch of Super Bowls XLII and XLVI. Both won by the Giants with last-minute touchdown drives highlighted by spectacular catches. And this year the G-Men have the best pass catcher in the league.

The other two games are Dallas at Tampa Bay and Kansas City at Denver. Dallas needs to do something different in a hurry if they hope to win another game this season. Kansas City will be looking to turn the tables on Denver, a team that beat them in overtime earlier in the season.

Analysis: Dallas went from trying to win the NFC to trying to win the NFC East division to grabbing a wildcard to, now, just trying to win a single game. That’s how bad this season has been for the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys should turn things around this Sunday against Tampa Bay. Dallas’ defense isn’t very good, but Bucs’ QB Jameis Winston is still a rookie. Dallas’ offense should be able to move the ball against a bad Buccaneers defense. This is the game that gets the Cowboys back into the win column.

Pick: Dallas

Analysis: After beating Houston 27 to 21 in Week 1, the Kansas City Chiefs had the lead late in their game against Denver in Week 2. Denver performed an amazing comeback. The Broncos beat KC 31 to 24.

Fast forward to Week 10 and Denver is 7 and 1 while Kansas City is 3 and 5. The Colts provided the blue-print on how to beat Denver in Week 9. Indy rushed for 120 yards on 40 carries. QB Andrew Luck passed for 252 yards and 2 touchdowns.

KC had Denver dead to rights in that Week 2 game. Expect the Chiefs to run the ball with Chacandrick West and to pass to WR Jeremy Maclin and TE Travis Kelce in this game. Kansas City has a big shot of upsetting Denver on the road in this one.

Pick: Kansas City

What: New England Patriots (8-0) at NY Giants (5-4)
When: Sunday, November 15, 2015
Kickoff: 4:25 PM ET
Where: East Rutherford, NJ
Stadium: MetLife Stadium
Weather: 53° F | Scattered Clouds
Spread: Patriots -8
Moneyline: New England -330 vs New York +270
Game Total: 55
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: New England vs NY Giants

Analysis: New England is the best team in the NFL right now. But, the Patriots still haven’t played a team with a really good quarterback. In order to beat the Patriots, you have to go mano y mano with their offense.

Save for Ben Roethlisberger at Pittsburgh and Andrew Luck at Indianapolis, the Patriots haven’t beaten any team with a star QB. New England beat Pittsburgh 24 to 21. They beat Indianapolis 34 to 27. Both Pitt and Indy had a chance to beat New England in their respective losses.

The New York Giants have a future hall of fame QB in Eli Manning. Eli always plays well against New England and the Giants’ defense might get corner Prince Amukamara back for this game.

Pick: New York Giants
