My NFL Week 11 Lock Picks Bieber Curse Withstanding

Before we get to the Week 11 picks, we need to talk about what happened to the Pittsburgh Steelers at MetLife Stadium. They were a virtual NFL betting lock to beat the Jets on the road after Roethlisberger threw six touchdown passes in each of his last two games. To make matters worse the game was played in front of a road crowd that had more Terrible Towel-waving Steelers fans than home town Jets fans, but it was the home town team that won 20-13.

I blame the Biebs.

Is there such a thing as the Bieber curse? Is he bad luck? I don’t know for sure, but just to be safe, don’t invite him to any team events when you are are a roll. Anyway, lets stop talking about the Biebs and get to the my NFL Week 11 lock picks.

My NFL Week 11 Lock Picks Bieber Curse Withstanding

Matchup: Cincinnati Bengals vs New Orleans Saints
Date: Sunday, Nov. 16
Start Time: 1:00 p.m. ET
Location: New Orleans, LA
Stadium: Mercedes-Benz Superdome
TV Info: CBS
Live Stream: NFL.com
Radio: Cincinnati Vs New Orleans
Point Spread: Saints -6.5
MNF Total: 50

The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off one of their worst showings in half a decade if not more…and it was on prime time. Now they jump from pot into the fire when they head to New Orleans to take on a Saints team that will try to bounce back after their first loss at home in two seasons.

The Bengals totaled 165 yards of offense in the 24-3 defeat against the Cleveland Browns last week behind QB Andy Dalton’s 10 of 33 passes for 86 yards, 0 TDs and 3 INTs. If head coach Marvin Lewis and Dalton can’t fix this season and make a playoff run, both will be out of jobs come the New Year.

Cincinnati, half a game behind AFC North leading Browns, are still in the playoff hunt they have faltered lately with two wins in the last four games.

New Orleans lost in overtime defeat 27-24 against the San Francisco 49ers, dropping their first game at home in nearly 2 seasons. QB Drew Brees threw for 292 yards and 3 TDs, but also turned the ball over 3 times. The Saints appeared to have won the game in the fourth quarter after a late TD catch by Jimmy Graham which was called back due to a questionable OFI call.

New Orleans is 4-5 this season and are leading the weak NFC South.

The Bengals looked aweful on TNF against the Browns. The Saints have the 3rd best passing offense in the NFL, including the 6th best rushing offense. Drew Brees will solve his turnover problem.

NFL Week 11 Lock Pick: Saints -6.5.

Matchup: Philadelphia Eagles vs Green Bay Packers
Date: Sunday, Nov. 16
Start Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
Location: Green Bay, WI
Stadium: Lambeau Field
TV Info: FOX
Live Stream: NFL.com
Radio: Philadelphia Vs Green Bay
Point Spread: Packers -6
MNF Total: 54

Being Aaron Rodgers ain’t easy? The Green Bay Packers humiliated the Bears this past week, 55-14. Rodgers threw for 315 yards and 6 TDs while playing just over half of the game. He has a total of 2,407 passing yards with 25 TDs and only 3 INTs so far even with a weak offensive line that has allowed 25 sacks this year.

Rodgers has a 1-1 record against the Eagles, with 2 TDs and 2 INTs, but he hasn’t faced them since the 2010 season.

In his first start in 2 years, new starting QB Mark Sanchez looked sharp in Chip Kelly’s offense against the Panthers in week 10, but that could have been the contrast against how poorly Carolina played.

The Philadelphia Eagles have only seen two top-10 offenses this season and both times (Indianapolis and Washington), the games turned into a shootout. I am expecting another shootout in week 11.

Is there anyway a six-point road underdog team quarterbacked by Mark Sanchez can beat a team quarterbacked by Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field in November?

NFL Week 11 Lock Pick: Packers -6.

Matchup: New England Patriots vs Indianapolis Colts
Date: Sunday, Nov. 16
Start Time: 8:30 p.m. ET
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Stadium: Lucas Oil Stadium
TV Info: NBC
Live Stream: NFL.com
Radio: New England Vs Indianapolis
Point Spread: Colts -2.5
MNF Total: 57

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots storm into Lucas Oil Stadium to take on Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts. Luck is winless in two against Brady since joining the league, both matchups were at Foxborough. Will the home crowd lift Luck to his first victory over Brady?

Brady has well documented battle against the Indianapolis Colts. Peyton Manning’s Colts that is. The future hall-of-famer Pats QB has an 8-3 regular season record against the Colts with 24 TDs and 10 INTs. On the flipside Luck, who leads the NFL with 3085 yards, 26 TDs and 9 INTs, has thrown four TDs in two games against the Patriots but was intercepted seven times in those meetings.

This matchup will also feature two of the three best scoring offenses in the NFL, with the Colts leading the league with 32.2 points per game as the average and the Patriots as third with 31.2.

This game is on the road. The Colts have a winning record. There’s a 48 percent chance I’m going to regret this pick.

Even though since 2009 Brady is 3-11 on the road against teams with a winning record, the Patriots are healthy and clicking on all cylinders. Just ask the Denver Broncos. Throw in an extra week for the Pats to prepare after their week 10 bye week and bet the over
