A Closer Look At How To Bet the Cleveland Browns Vs San Diego Chargers NFL Week 4 Line & TV Info

NFL Week 12 Against The Spread Upset Picks

When I was looking at the NFL week 12 betting board for this week’s possible upset alerts, I went all-in on road teams that have favorable matchups despite playing away from home. Cleveland will look to bounce back in Atlanta. I’m a Tampa Bay believer in Chicago and the San Diego will host the best team with a losing record: the St. Louis Rams.

What is a team with a 4-6 record leads the NFC South? The Atlanta Falcons are in command of the NFC South after consecutive wins over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina. They beat the Saints in week 1 and have the tiebreaker over them.

The Cleveland Browns went from first to last in the AFC North in a matter of a week as they took a home loss to Houston.

Welcome Back Josh Gordon.

With Gordon on the field QB, Brian Hoyer will have his first big play weapon this season as he has missed him and TE Jordan Cameron for most of the season.

The Falcons have the worst passing defense in the entire NFL, allowing 281.2 yards per game, and in the 19-17 victory over the Carolina Panthers last week, QB Cam Newton was able to throw 292 yards, and 2 TDs, one of those touchdowns was a 47 yard score to Philly Brown.

The Falcons have dropped two at home this season against the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears. Falcons are 0-4 ATS in their last four games as a home favorite of 0.5-3.0 points. Atlanta is 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games, 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games, and 3-7 against the spread following a win.

Cleveland is 16-5-1 against the spread in their last 22 road games against a team with a losing home record, 0-4 against the spread following a double digit home loss, and 5-1-2 against the spread following a loss by 14 or more points. The Browns are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games as an underdog.

Upset Pick: Browns +3.

Matchup: Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Chicago Bears
Date: Sunday, Nov. 23
Start Time: 1:00 p.m. ET
Location: Chicago, IL
Stadium: Soldier Field
TV Info: FOX
Live Stream: NFL.com
Radio: Tampa Bay Vs Chicago
Point Spread: Bears -6
Moneyline: Buccaneers +220 vs Bears -260
Game Total: 46.5

While both teams looked good last week, both teams have struggled all season with brief flashes of brilliance. The Chicago Bears finally won at home this season by beating the Minnesota Vikings 21-13 on Sunday. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers earned their second victory of 2014 by humiliating Washington 27-7.

The Bears outgunned the Vikings 468 to 243 in total yards on the strength of QB Jay Cutler’s arm. He threw 330 yards and three touchdowns, but he also thew 2 picks.

The Bucs looked comfortable with QB Josh McCown under center, and in the last two games they have unleashed rookie WR Mike Evans, who had a career-high 209 yards and 2 TDs last week.

The Bears passing defense as we all know is soft and ranked 25th against the pass in the NFL, which means I fully expect the Bucs to air it out.

I know what you are thinking, a Florida team traveling to Chicago in November to play an outdoor game in cold weather, but I don’t trust Cutler with the ball.

Lovie Smith and Josh McCown will be back in town, and the former head coach will be facing the Bears for the first time since being fired back in 2012. Expect Smith to use his knowledge of the Bears to his advantage.

McCown signed a two-year, $10 million contract in the offseason with Tampa after he went 3-2 in relief of Jay Cutler last year, throwing for 13 touchdowns and one interception. McCown has only started five games this season as he was out for five weeks with an injury earlier in the season. McCown has a passer rating of 82.6 this season while throwing for 1,009 passing yards and 6 touchdowns. The downside, though, is McCown has 6 interceptions in his five starts this season.

The Buccaneers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The Bears are 5-16-1 ATS in their last 22 home games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Buccaneers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings in Chicago, while the road team is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.

Five of the eight losses Tampa Bay have this season have been by six points or less.

Upset Pick: Bucs +6.

Matchup: St. Louis Rams vs San Diego Chargers
Date: Sunday, Nov. 23
Start Time: 4:05 p.m. ET
Location:San Diego, CA
Stadium:Qualcomm Stadium
TV Info: FOX
Live Stream: NFL.com
Radio: St. Louis Vs San Diego
Point Spread: Chargers -5.5
Moneyline: Rams +210 vs Chargers -250
Game Total: 46.5

The St. Louis Rams have won two of their last three games and while that makes them just 4-6 for the season the wins came against two of the better teams in the NFL the 49ers and the Broncos. QB Shaun Hill got his job back last week and he torched the Broncos secondary then the Rams defense took over and shut down Peyton Manning.

Manning was 34 for 54 for 389 yards with two interceptions, but was held to a 42-yard touchdown pass to Emmanuel Sanders, ending a streak of 15 consecutive games with at least two touchdown passes. Injuries sidelined Julius Thomas, Montee Ball and Sanders early, but the credit goes to the Rams D to closing the door.

The San Diego Chargers are coming off of a home win against the Raiders that ended their three game losing skid and raised their record to 6-4 for the season. The team is starting to get healthy again and ready to make a playoff push.

San Diego is 6-2 against the spread following a win, 0-5 against the spread in their last five games, and 0-4 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread. St. Louis is 2-6 against the spread in their last eight road games, 0-4 against the spread following a win, and 0-5 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread.

Upset pick: Rams +5.5.
