NFL Week 12 Five Star Lock Picks

NFL Week 12 Five ? Lock Picks: Cowboys, Vikings, Chiefs are ?

It is Thanksgiving week in the NFL and I am thankful for 5 star lock picks to bet on. One team is almost a lock to win on Thanksgiving Day. Here’s a hint, it’s not Detroit. Dallas shows up as the first lock pick of the week because they play on Nov. 26. The other 2 teams that appear to be decent lock picks occur in the Minnesota at Atlanta game and in the Buffalo at Kansas City game. Keep reading for Week 12 Lock Picks!

A Closer Look At My NFL Week 12 Five ? Lock Picks

What: Carolina Panthers (10-0) at Dallas Cowboys (3-7)
When: Thursday, November 26, 2015
Kickoff: 4:30 PM ET
Where: Arlington, TX
Stadium: AT&T Stadium
Weather: N/A
Spread: Cowboys -1
Game Total: 46
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Carolina vs Dallas

Analysis: Carolina is still undefeated. But, and this isn’t really a knock, the Panthers haven’t played a lot of good teams this season. Seattle and Green Bay are the only 2 good teams that they have beaten this season. Seattle really isn’t that good of a team this season while Green Bay was in the middle of a weird losing streak when they dropped their game to the Panthers.

Carolina faces a Dallas team that almost never loses on Thanksgiving Day. More importantly, Dallas has Tony Romo back. Romo is the unquestioned leader of the Boys. He led Dallas to a 24 to 14 win over Miami in Week 11. Everybody in Big D, on both sides of the ball, plays better with Romo under center. Carolina loses its first game of the season on Thanksgiving Day.

Pick: Dallas

What: Minnesota Vikings (7-3) at Atlanta Falcons (6-4)
When: Sunday, November 29, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Atlanta, GA
Stadium: Georgia Dome
Spread: Falcons -2.5
Moneyline: Minnesota +115 vs Atlanta -135
Game Total: 46
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Minnesota vs Atlanta

Analysis: Minnesota was due for a letdown after losing 5 straight games in a row. The Vikings lost 13 to 30 to Green Bay in their last game after looking like an easy winner of the NFC North Division.

The Vikings are 8 and 2 against the spread on the season. They take on an Atlanta team as an underdog that is reeling after losing 4 out of their last 5 games. The Falcons are 0 and 6 ATS in their last 6 games. Sure, Minnesota QB Teddy Bridgewater may not play due to injury, but the Vikings still have a guy named Adrian Peterson rushing the football.

More importantly, Minnesota has a lot of character. After losing their other two games this season, they bounced back with huge wins.

Pick: Minnesota

What: Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs
When: Sunday, November 29, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Kansas City, MO
Stadium: Arrowhead Stadium
Weather: 38° F | Light Mixture of Precip
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Buffalo vs Kansas City

Analysis: Kansas City is on a roll. The Chiefs have gone 4 and 0 both straight up and against the spread in their last 4 games. Coach Andy Reid has really gotten this team to respond on both sides of the ball. What’s more impressive is that often maligned QB Alex Smith has taken charge.

Smith has thrown 6 touchdowns to 0 interceptions in the Chiefs’ last 6 games. Smith led the Chiefs to a 33 to 3 win over San Diego in Week 11 without throwing a TD. What it shows is a great feel for the game since Smith completed 80% of his passes.

Buffalo’s defense can be great at times. At other times, it’s not good at all. Buffalo’s secondary can get torched and KC has one of the best RB pass catchers in the NFL in Chacandrick West and one of the best TE pass catchers in the NFL in Travis Kelce.

Pick: Kansas City
