NFL Week 13 2014 Thanksgiving Day Odds

The NFL knows Thanksgiving Day games are a television ratings feast. Last year Americans sat on the couch, only moving for beer or turkey, for 12 hours watching the Packers take on the Lions, the Raiders vs the Cowboys and the a nightcap of AFC North rivalry matchup between the Steelers against the Ravens.

Last year, CBS got 31.7 million viewers to watch Raiders-Cowboys and FOX got 28.3 million for its Packers-Lions matinee. NBC should see a bump up in 2014 from the still impressive 21.1 million it got for the Steelers-Ravens nightcap in 2013.

This year the NFL schedule makers are giving us a heaping helping of great matchups for the 2014 holiday. Click here for NFL Thanksgiving Day betting odds. With the advantage of no longer being locked into at least one inter-conference game, it’s gone all NFC for an all-out triple-header treat.

In 2014 Thanksgiving Day will kick of NFL week 13 on Thursday, Nov. 27 with:

  • Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions (12:30 p.m. ET, CBS)
  • Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (4:30 p.m. ET, FOX)
  • Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers (8:30 p.m. ET, NBC)

At the beginning of the season, this looked like a great day of football but with the Bears playing like cubs puts a damper on the opening game, but after that its all gravy.

The day starts with Chicago at Detroit, followed by Philadelphia at Dallas and capped off by the big one, Seattle at San Francisco, a rematch of the NFC championship game and one of the top few games on the entire NFL regular-season schedule.
